UN to be dismissed

Hi folks,

I don't know if every one is united. We are not. And we are not going to.
Don't you think, people, that UN is leading us to complete totalitarianism?
One day you wake up and there is no more your own people identity, no more currency, no more legacy, no more you, no more freedom.
Just few unknown, unattainable, irresponsable, corrupted and impudent UN oficers control everything at this planet just by pushing down computer buttons. They don't care about our freedom or safety. They care of their power only.
I understand most human beings prefere not to think about it and join to some herd, but when it happens it would be too late, folks. Who sucrefise the freedom for safety does not deserve either.
Let's dismiss UN and become free again!

Alternatively, you have the FREEDOM to press the little button on the UN screen which says "Resign from the UN"

Forgive me for asking, but what exactly is the purpose of this poll?

And you might find that many regulations have also been repealed as well as new ones drafted.

There's not a "go away, troll" option though.

And that is terribly unfortunate.

Hi folks,

Hi

I don't know if every one is united. We are not. And we are not going to.

That's great. So you're nation isn't united? Your government isn't united? Interesting concept. Is that just because your political parties disagree, or is because there's a civil war in your nation?

Don't you think, people, that UN is leading us to complete totalitarianism?

Not really. Totalitarianism means that a few dominate the many. However, with the UN pushing various human rights resolutions through, they are helping the citizens thus....leading us to better societies in general. They don't promote dictatorship nor rule-by-fear policies, so to say they are leading us to Totalitarianism is a ludicrous concept.

One day you wake up and there is no more your own people identity, no more currency, no more legacy, no more you, no more freedom.

No more me? I hold 25 votes, a set of beliefs, a bunch of personal freedoms (many of which are protected by the UN) and a wonderful region. I actually don't understand this line whatsoever.

Just few unknown, unattainable, irresponsable, corrupted and impudent UN oficers control everything at this planet just by pushing down computer buttons. They don't care about our freedom or safety. They care of their power only.

Yet they give all sorts of civil freedoms to the citizens of the UN, and encourage the safety of their workers and somehow that translates to them not caring about our freedom? I'm sorry, that doesn't make any sense.

I understand most human beings prefere not to think about it and join to some herd, but when it happens it would be too late, folks. Who sucrefise the freedom for safety does not deserve either.

I didn't sacrifice freedom or safety. I haven't sacrificed anything but national sovereignty, but that I can do without if it means that my people can benefit and share that benefit with so many other nations.

Let's dismiss UN and become free again!

Why don't you let us decide whether we want to be free of the UN and YOU can resign. I actually don't see a point.

ROTFL

You know, when I read this thread, I was *betting* that the fifth option was added. As I scrolled through the "discussion" I wanted to say that I think this was appropriate and certainly has my government's endorsement.

Have we meet in another life because you have me down to the letter.

I understand most human beings prefere not to think about it and join to some herd,

So I suppose we all come join some little herd lead by you...!

Most of the reasons folks form those so called herds is that in numbers there is safety for all.

Vogul, sod off. You don't like the UN and that's fine. You sit in your little bubble of isolationism and ignore the UN. We will ignore you too. Savvy?

Along with adding the troll option in the poll, the thread title should be changed to "Vogul to be dismissed." :D

Isn't it ironic that by UN law, the UN cannot consider, influence, debate, or pass any reslution impacting in any way shape or manner a nationstate not in the UN, but a nationstate not in the UN can come walking into our midst and demand that the UN be dismissed?

Yes - I propose we descend on all dissenters like a pack of ravenous dogs. Or possibly ignore them - whichever's easier.

For every force there is an equal but opposite reaction.

Non-UN members demanding that the UN be disbanded tend to be tarred and feathered (by even the moderators). ;)

It is a fair trade.
