As a new nation that has recently come under the rule of a communist government, we are looking to join the UN for support and political stability. A fast response to our nations membership aplication would be greatly appreciated.

The moderators get to them when they get time. They aren't paid to do this job so you can't expect them to be around 24/7. That said, I haven't heard of any incidents where an application wasn't processed within a day - my own application got processed in 2 hours.
If I recall correctly, the UN entrance process is automatic: you'll get sent the email & telegram at the next UN update, around 2-4 AM GMT IIRC.
