Hello everyone.
Just a thought but wouldn't you prefer to go on holiday and find a standarsized size of clothing that fits you, and not a national measurement?
Resolution:Standarsized Clothes Sizes
Category: Human Rights
Strength: Mild
ACKNOWLEDGING that not all sizes standardized by nations are equal
REQUESTING that a universal measurement is used to determine clothe sizes and that it be metric
DEFINING sizes as any of a series of graduated categories of dimension whereby manufactured articles, such as shoes and clothing, are classified.
ALLOWING national standards to be written on items of cloting of the country of oigin
REALISING that this will extend the manufacturing time of clothing
but
ARGUING that clothing will have increased sales
ASSURED that this can only better economies
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Comments or criticism anyone?
If you're going to put this in, you should just request that all clothing uses metric measurements.
Different countries have different body sizes. Large for an american is different than large for a chinese person, most likely.

I wasn't planning on a S M L XL XXL type measurement, I'll take metric into consideration.

Member nations of the NSUN face many problems and issues, some of them serious and deserving the attention of this international body. This most certainly is NOT one of them.

I definitely understand the call for this. It's really annoying to try to buy clothes in other countries. Hell, it's hard in this country.
My only advice is with regards to spelling.
Standardized, not "standardsized."
Origin, or "oigin".
And Clothing not "cloting."
My big criticism is the category. Human rights? I don't see how size differences are "human rights". I think it'd be better if it was Free Trade. Just a thought.

I think it could stand a bit of a rewrite, but my main question is why do you feel this is Human Rights and not Free Trade? As others have suggested, this resolution is about economic standardization based on the belief that sales will increase ... which I don't really see as a "civil liberty".

Our main question is why it is even worthy of UN consideration.

As others have noted, this is definitely Free Trade: Mild.
ACKNOWLEDGING that not all sizes standardized by nations are equal
REQUESTING that a universal measurement is used to determine clothe sizes and that it be metric
I would prefer:
MANDATING (or REQUESTING) that all clothing (or clothe) sizes be determined by metric measurements;
DEFINING sizes as any of a series of graduated categories of dimension whereby manufactured articles, such as shoes and clothing, are classified.
Put this clause first. Also, I think this is unclear, as it took a while for me to understand.
ALLOWING national standards to be written on items of cloting of the country of oigin
OK.
REALISING that this will extend the manufacturing time of clothing
How? It's not like it takes any longer to measure metric sizes than any other type of sizes
ASSURED that this can only better economies
I would prefer:
CONVINCED that this will improve the economies of all member nations by facilitating the international trade of clothing;
I disagree that this is not worthy of the UN's consideration, but it does definitely need work.

Surely, you must be joking.
Surely, you must be joking.
No. It would improve free trade, and it might be of some use.
