Bad UN experiences

I just want to know if anyone else besides me has had a nagative experience with the UN. My humble nation joined the UN in an attempt to change the world with rational discussion, and quite honestly the only other nations we met are pricks. Just wondering if anyone else agrees.

No, wait, it wasn't you...remember? Someone hacked into your computer. What you meant to say was 'whoever hacked into my account met a lot of pricks'.
Seriously, the UN is a debate forum. You don't have to join, and you're always welcome to leave. We're usually civil to those who are civil to us.

1.) Usually obviously being the operative word there.
2.) Someone DID hack into my computer, and yet you chose not to believe me. So, not surprisingly, you treated me like I was some sort of parasite. I don't know how people put up with the kind of pretention you have. They must truly be saints. Well, unfortunately for you, not everyone is.

Every single nation you've met has been a prick? Hmm... I guess I could offer some words of support, but it would be so much simpler to just tell you to
Grow the hell up.
If you don't like it, either grow some thicker skin or become a prick yourself, that's the way things work around here. And anyway, do you really think that if we're all pricks we'd give a damn about you making a cute little post calling us such?
Sheesh.

The game moderators can view our ISPs and the ISPs that log onto our accounts.
I'd use the NationStates getting help page to report the failed attempt so they can monitor to see whom is hacking your account.

Listen - I don't care if your account was hacked or not (I've said this before). I've seen some of the most annoying people on here make some of the most insightful arguments on certain topics. It was your inability to hear reason and continue to use the same arguments over and over again without realizing your mistakes that annoyed me - then your attempts to play the innocent victim. You may well have been a victim, but that's rather irrelevant. After you came back claiming to be a victim, your arguments didn't improve. You still missed the same points - and there are some of us who believe that if the first time didn't work, bashing the point at your head over and over again until you realize it actually refutes yours is a good strategy.
You want to turn over a new leaf and try using intelligent comments? That's great! Start now. However, complaining about the regulars in front of their noses is not the way to go. All you do is incite more annoyance and contempt at "the iddy li'l newb"
I've seen some of the most annoying people on here make some of the most inciteful arguments on certain topics.
Have to ask, Forgottenlord, but did you mean 'inciteful' there, or rather 'insightful'?
stupid homophones

Well, I'm sure the most annoying people do make the most inciteful arguments, although I suppose that's kind of obvious.

Bad experiences with the UN? You mean like 95% of the resolutions and 100% of the flame-spamming because of my resolutions?

A little advice for Alta Vexus.
1. The NationStates Admins and Moderators cannot tell who is behind your nation. If you log into it from multpile computers then they will think it is just you messing around and breaking rules.
2. Don't take everyone so seriously. But i would take the Admins and Mods seriously when they tell you to do (or not do) something.

To my Fellow Representative:
I admit that I am relatively new to the UN and its forums, and not particularly vocal, but nonetheless: I've never been harrassed (or otherwise negatively addressed) by any of my fellow members. Therefore while I have no glowingly affectionate relationship with any of my colleagues, I am pleased to say that I have not had cause for complaint with them, either.
I must respectfully point out to you, however, that if you are indeed looking to (re)gain the esteem of the so-called "regulars" here, creating a thread in which you make negative sweeping generalizations about them is probably not the wisest course of action.
OOC: If I'm boring, it's because you guys scare me.
It's been a while since I have been about, but I am sure that whilst some of the regulars could do with a few lessons in charm school, that when you consider there have been 100s of nations far more pompous, arrogant and idiotic who join within the first few days, think they can change the world, and cry when their hopes are dismissed.
They might not have given you the most welcoming reception, but you might not have given them cause to think you are anything special from the dozens of idiots who come along every week to these forums with no idea of the reality of the situation.
Now Play nicely.

As another new member of this august body, I concur with the Representative from Westenwales. I have even found this body to be extremely helpful in setting up trade relations with the other nations. The alcohol trade in particular has been most excellent.
As an aside, I am looking to hook up telephone contact with the nation of Cluichstan. The better integrated all of our telecommunications systems are, the more tightly knit the world will be.

As we say, in Old Mianish, Duiru rang biede ren xihuan ni, tang bi suan hao de duo. In other words, sugar wins you more friends than bitter.
