Repeal "Banning the use of Landmines"
A proposal to repeal a previously passed resolution

Category: Repeal
Resolution: #40
Proposed by: Valordon 2

Description: UN Resolution #40: Banning the use of Landmines (Category: Global Disarmament; Strength: Strong) shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

Argument: While destructive force should never be used as a first attempt to resolve any conflict, member states of the United Nations should retain their right to self-defense. This resolution should be voided and re-written with the intention of banning only cruel and immoral acts using mines as well as other destructive weapons. The only exceptions to this should be chemical and biological weapons, which should be completely banned due to their cruel effects on combatants and civilians.

I encourage all member nations to post their thoughts regarding this repeal.

A serious "WTF" goes out to your proposal.

What is the relevance of Bio and Chemical weapons?

If the exceptions of chemical and biological weapons had not put into the proposal's recommendation, it would appear as though it supported the legalization of all weapons regardless of their nature.

This resolution should be voided and re-written ...An instant no from the Kennyite delegation.

Hmmm, perhaps instead of "re-write" I should have recommended to write an entirely different resolution since it would require a different name. If this proposal doesn't make it, I'll defintely re-word it. Thanks for the imput.

Just seperate the two lines and indicate that you are "open to possible rewrites of the resolution".

The rest of it just sounds way too much like an essay.
