It's a shame that proposals that blatantly disregard a nation's sovereignty pass and are repealed every couple minutes while few good proposals ever get enough support to be voted on. This proposal is the best I've seen recently and it needs support of delegates. Here it is...

BAN ON EMINENT DOMAIN
A resolution to increase democratic freedoms.

Category: The Furtherment of Democracy
Strength: Mild
Proposed by: Deutschland III

Description: The UN shall not be allowed to sieze any land or territory from any nation and claim it as its own.

Approvals: 2 (Outer Cuffeovia, Trinidad n Tobago)

Status: Lacking Support (requires 121 more approvals)

Voting Ends: Fri Jan 13 2006

... what do you think of this bill? I think it is overall a very good bill. I can't think of any reason that anyone would vote against it. Anyway, your opinion on the subject is appreciated and your support is appreciated as well.

I will wait until the author persuades us that there is a risk of the UN attempting to claim sovereign territory. I currently do not believe such risk exists, and if so, this proposal does nothing.

Is this just a proposal for the sake of proposals?
