I ask that you help me pass a UN Resolution called
Seperation of Church and State
Its already been drafted, but it needs support.
It would also be appreciated if you help announce it amoung the people.
I will be greatfully honored if you do... thank you
Description: The separation of church and state is a concept and philosophy in modern thought and practice, whereby the structures of the state or national government are proposed as needing to be separate from those of religious institutions. The concept has long been a topic of political debate throughout history. The term "church" is taken from the various Christian churches predominant in Western civilization, but the phrase as a whole refers to religion and religious institutions in general and its/their relationship to government. In countries where other religions are dominant, the words mosque, temple, or synagogue are often substituted.
Article 1 ----
Section 1 ---- Neither a state nor the Federal Government can set up a church.
Section 2 ---- Neither can pass laws which aid one religion, aid all religions, or prefer one religion over another.
Section 3 ---- Neither can force nor influence a person to go to or to remain away from church against his will or force him to profess a belief or disbelief in any religion.
Section 4 ---- No person can be punished for entertaining or professing religious beliefs or disbeliefs, for church attendance or non-attendance.
Section 5 ---- No tax in any amount, large or small, can be levied to support any religious activities or institutions, whatever they may be called, or whatever form they may adopt to teach or practice religion.
Section 6 ---- Neither a state nor the Federal Government can, openly or secretly, participate in the affairs of any religious organizations or groups and vice versa.
