Members of these United Nations, Representatives of the Union, I cordially invite you to become a member of the United Nations Organisation.

The UNO has long been a home for the Organisations that have sprung up from the resolutions of this fine forum and is a think tank for new ideas as well as the home to such notable groups such as the NS International Red Cross/Cresent and the United Nations Association.

The UNO is a group that welcomes all nations no matter what your political opinions are. It is with this diversity in mind that I ask you all to seek out and join. The more active members we can muster the better the Ideas we can come up with to enhance the UN experience.

If you want to Join or even just take a peek at the UNO Forum click on the following link.....

OOC:
Since I was *not* going to be occupied with family, I had originally hoped to spend some time this weekend playing NationStates, but as some of you may have read, California is about to have a major storm which is capable of flooding parts of Northern California.

So I'll be working 12-hour shifts out on the levees (in the rain and wind ... woohoo), thus unable to participate right now. On the flip side, I'll be earning CTO at time and a half, so that means I'll have more time in the future. :)

I did join the forum ages ago, but never posted. Found while looking around thats it's just a bit too RP oriented for me, not to mention just a tad clique driven (and no, with the nature of the subjects covered, thats not a bad thing, but can repel new people). My lack of knowledge on the issues there didn't help either.

Thats the only reason I didn't act on the email about activity and aren't rejoining now :).

That is a shame. Your posts in these forums and in the UNOG are educated and has warranted my respect. Your decision not to be in the UNO is a loss IMO to that body. I am hoping to change the Cliquey nature of the forum and ive opened a new "Ideas" forum. As the groups have been specialised to that individual concern i have tried to make the New Forum open to opinion especially with new members in mind. The UNO is changing and with the more diverse community of members in an open and nonjudgemental forum and it may proove successful yet. At least thats what im hoping.
If it fails, Im off to invade Chechnya:D

I just went on the forum and had a look at the member list. I'm still on it, so am still a member. Bah, though you were going to delete all us dead woodites :p :D.

I'll keep an eye on the place, and if I see something that I feel comfortable getting involved with (know the subject ect), you'll hear from me. Perhaps if I can ever get the latest version of ADCAP passed, the accreditation team part of it can be thrown up on the NSO forum (I'm joking, I'm joking, don't panic:D).
