Summary: We at the USSB feel that abortion should be available to all humans in the UN Nations. However, should not be used as a form of contraception.

I - Introduction
II - Background
III - Conclusion

I

Introduction

Abortions should be allowed for:
- Women who run the risk of health complications during pregnancy
- Teens who are not yet ready for children
- Parents who do not have the necessary funds to pay for a child

Along with the teens, the UN should not require parental consent/notification. It should be up to the mother and no one else

There will be no Spousel consent as it is the woman's choice, not that man's.

Those who cannot afford abortions should geat bonds from the state or third parties.

We realize that their may be many anti-abortionists in the nations, that is why all abortions should be payed by the individuals and not the state. People who do not agree with abortion should not have to pay for the killing of someone elses fetus.

II

Background

It is a proven statistic that 91% of abortions are done in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, and only 4% after 16 weeks. Also, only .9% of abortions are done after 20 weeks and none after 24 weeks. If the mother is found to have a health risk after the 24th week, then emergency action will be taken.

A woman cannot be fully free unless she has complete rights over her body. A government institute cannot take those rights away.

III

Conclusion

In conclusion, abortion is up to the woman and the woman only. No one can take the right of choice away from anyone. This is not a proposal for anti-life, because the nation of USSB teaches of different methods of contraception and supports adoption over abortion. Nations that do not agree, may put some restrictions on abortion, but they shall not abolish abortion.

I would like all nations that agree with this proposal to petition your region representative and push for a movement to legalize pro-choice.
