No Tariffs on Humanitarian Aid:
A resolution to reduce barriers to free trade and commerce.

Description: Noting the gap of wealth between rich and poor countries.

Asserting that it is the UN's responsibility to battle extreme poverty within its own membership.

Declaring that no UN member shall levy any import or export tax on Food, Medicine or other forms of Humanitarian Aid.

Further declaring that no Nation shall levy an embargo on any other UN Nation in regards to Food, Medicine or other forms of Humanitarian Aid.

you may need to define further whats classed as 'taxes' but otherwise its got my support.

this also dovetails nicely with the global food act as well so i doubt you'll have many people opposing this.

The food part is already covered by GFDA.

i think medicine is covered elsewhere too... and i could be wrong, but i think the whole jist of humanitarian aid is also covered in another resoluotion. but as i said, i could be wrong

i believe that UNR #33 : no embargoe on medicine, covers this issue as well.

Were it to be implemented, it would be redundant. Thus it will not be implemented.

May I ask why are we proposing a resolution on poverty? Shouldn't therealready be some resolution? It worries me that the UN has forgot this improtant idea?
