This might be in the wrong forum, but if you join the UN, do you have to follow all of the resolutions that were passed before you joined? I was wondering, because I disagree with many of their policies. Also, if you resign, do you return to the status in terms of freedoms that you were before you joined?

As far as the game statistics are concerned, you are only affected by resolutions that passed while you were in the UN.

As far as role-play is concerned, you are meant to follow every passed resolution. Flagrant denial of resolutions can be classified as godmodding.

Not so sure about your last question, but in any case daily issues have a far greater effect on your nation than the majority of resolutions, so you may not notice any change.

I don't think it affects your stats, but yes, you accept the previous resolutions when you join, and changes are made.

When you resign you return to how you were beforehand.

It's a bit more compex than that, but that's the easy version.

You don't get the effects of previously passed resolutions GM wise.

You don't return to your initial state GM wise after you leave the UN. As Fris pointed out in previous threads asking this question, the time you've spent in the UN has an effect upon your people and it will take time to reverse this effect. You will see some change, but not a full reversal.
