ok, maybe this thread is not very important and not a bright idea, but as the number of post on the fourm is low....why not try this:

So, if everyone can post the number of his/her more beloved resolution in 2005 (repealed resolutions and repeals excluded)

and also the resolution one would like the most to be repealed

here is the list:

I rather like 117.

Best: Would voting UNSA constitute flamebait? Maybe Right to Self-Defence. Diplomatic Immunity was pretty good, actually.

Worst: Too many to choose from. Not a fan of Adoption & IVF Rights. Solar Panels was pretty poor.

Glad it failed: Transgender Equality Act.

Sad it failed: Repeal Protection of Dolphins Act.

Hope it passes: National Rights in Taxation.

Hope it gets repealed: Fossil Fuel Reduction Act.

Special award for silliest of them all: INFLATABLE GANDALF ACT!!!11

best 106

no i'm kidding

Best resolution: 117 (and also 118 but it's mine and i think i's better if one cannot vote for his own resolution:D )

Worst: 126 fossil Fuel (solar panel had been repealed! ;) )

I know Solar Panels was repealed. It was still passed at one point. And yes, I did like 117 (Microcredit Bazaar, oder?)

My particular contribution, 89 is never going to win any awards. Mind you, I doubt it will ever be repealled any time soon :)

Most loved: 109 - it stopped all the ban nuclear weapons arguements.

Most hated (liked to be repealled): 91 - I don't want to go into why I hate it so much, but it's an awful proposal that tries to make exploitation thats very wrong into something cute and fluffy and clean.

Comments on certain proposals:

85 - terrible
89 - very good
90 - very good
100 - very good
101 - hugely entertaining
103 - excellent
104 - dodgy
106 - bad
111 - very good
115 - woeful, author should be shot
117 - very good
118 - dodgy
121 - dodgy
123 - bad
126 - nowhere near as harmful as many make it out to be
127 - excellent

My personal favourites remain the EON Convention on Genocide and, um, another one I can't remember offhand. My least favourite still on the statute books is UCPL. Tosh on an epic scale.

My favorite is 91, The Sex Industry Worker Act, but I have a bit of a soft spot for it because it was the first resolution I helped get to the floor as a new delegate. I also very firmly believe in what it does :).

The debate on it was good too. A lot of very interesting points were thrashed out.

The main one I would like to see repealed is my own effort to be honest (Civilian Rights Post War). Have been thinking about it lately and believe it can be improved. Just don't have the time or energy to do it just yet. I wouldn't cry buckets if Protection of Dolphins act disappeared either.

My favorite: #117 (The Microcredit Bazaar). Why? The resolution and debate caused me to learn something about a subject I'd never thought of. Close second: #116 (Mitigation of Large Reservoirs). Same reason. Both were carefully thought out and drafted, too.

My unfavorite: #126 (Fossil Fuel Reduction Act.) Why? Grotesquely unrealistic in the world of NS.

Waterana, you cannot vote for you own resolution even in the "worst category"! lol! it's illegal;)

I disagree. The chief objection seems to be on the grounds of population increases but there's no reason to pay any attention to that statistic; it's simply a measure of age. 3.9 billion Ecopoeians? Absurd.

Me Too!

Er, not that I want Civilian Rights Post War to be repealed and replaced (I don't see it as a bad resolution, though I'm largely unfamiliar with it), but I feel the same way about The Nuclear Terrorism Act and Reformed Literacy Initiative. I just hopes that we can both find the time, energy, and input needed to make those hopes for replacements reality.

My Votes:

"Best": Right to Self-Protection (94) because it got it all started ;)

"Worst" and "Believe/hope likely to be repealed": UN Biological Weapons Ban (110) because I think it really cripples UN nations' foreign relations abilities, and because I don't think it capitalized on some fo the really good anti-bioweapons rhetoric that's out there.

Worst: Dolphins, Right to Learn Evolution

Best: It's got to be diplomatic immunity!
