I think there is the slightest possibility that some nations might not think this is something the UN should be getting involved in. I would disagree, mostly cause its interesting, and rollercoasters (so my kids tell me) are vast acres of fun that everyone should enjoy. Due to a trauma I suffered as a young adult (my first girlfriend dumped me on a rollercoaster - she thought it would be easier to break up with me if I was scared out of my mind) I tend not to go on them, but I can see the advantages of letting kids get over the fear of fast moving things that scare you - and this would be a good start :}

(ooc - this really is support, even if it sounds sarcastic, cause eh - why not?)

I get the feeling the mods would have a fit if they saw working smilies within a proposal. They've enough problems with smilie spam on the forums, they don't want to have to deal with it in a proposal.

- 4th Dimension Roller CoastersTechnically, all rollercoasters are 4th Dimensional. You start at one time and end at another; therefore, you have moved through time.

PS: is it possible to include Smilies in the resolution text? No, it is not.

4th Dimension - a coaster with cars that spin on a horizontal axis.

there is only 1 4th Dimensional in the world:
"X" in Six Flags Magic Mountain (Valencia, California 91355 USA)

http://rcdb.com/ig750.htmI know what Hack is talking about, time is the 4th dimension that people travel through, same as up/down, left/right and forwards/backwards. If you had one which didn't travel through that 4th dimension, I'm sure you'd make a lot of money with it :)

Oh goddess! Imagine if it broke!! You could be stuck in it for 24 hours, and the day would be going past and you wouldn't know.

That'd be 'orrible!!

i'm lost, it's becoming technical, please escuse my ignorance, space-time travel are not yet technologically available in Love and esterel, but we will be happy if the nation of Hirota agree to share this great technology with us

some people in Love and esterel are already excited:)

I can see two things that you could consider mentioning in your proposal.

One - People with heart conditions ect shouldn't ride roller coasters. It can be very hazardous to their health.

Two - The mandatory passing out of barf bags to all who use roller coasters. That saves those passing around the thing being possibly splattered with flying...well you know what I mean http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v379/Kyronia/7e417355.gif:D.

Your proposal is numbered incorrectly: you have two clause twos.

I would much rather this had been passed than some pieces of legislation you have recently been involved with.

Agreed, but if it ever actually gets submitted as a formal proposal, I can guarantee it will end up in the pile of silly resolutions (OOC: probably tossed there by me ;) ).

Yes, I have noticed your fanatical devotion to the cause of silly-proposal hunting. This is clearly a joke, and one I don't find especially funny, but these things do seem to crop up every now and then, and there's little harm in them. Oh, and for the record: we would not support this proposal in its current form, as we consider it an egregious infringement on national sovereignty...

This might sound a little nitpicky, and if it comes across that way, apologies to Waterana.

But i feel that another way of re-wording the sentence in bold to seem less forceful would be.

"It is recommended that citizens with heart problems do not ride rollercoasters, due to potential health risks."

Other than that, New Poitiers would be delighted to pass this resolution. Rollercoasters would benefit our country immensely and provide an economic strong point.

Nor would the people of Cluichstan, for the very same reason, but as my nation's track record since joining this austere body appears to be evident, that probably goes without saying.

Most of Hirota's theorists in space-time travel are confined strictly to the realm of theory - sadly such technology is not available in Hirota.

However, a Dr. Emmett Brown claimed to travel through time in a "D.Leean" vehicle (produced by Hirotan Automotive industries several decades ago), and released a trio of documentaries chronicling his assistants adventures. These documentaries have been debunked by the established scientific community, who were more interested in turning water into wine.

Its ok, that was just a comment on something to possibly add to the proposal. I didn't mean L&E had to use those exact words. It can be worded anyway he/she wants :).

MANDATES that all riders of said Roller Coasters keeps their hands inside their cars at all times.

Also, can you put in "Roller Coaster (otherwise known as Big Dippers)" in, so Brits who haven't been to the US know what your rabbling on about?
