Seems that once again, the UN forum needs a gentle rap on the knuckles from my ruler.
I've been noticing a disturbing slide in the debate around here, and people seem to be sniping more than usual, and we've had some borderline flames bandied about. This isn't acceptable, especially not in this forum, where you're supposed to be diplomatic.
I've done this once before, and it seemed to work nicely, so here's hoping my luck holds out. This forum has a small group of "regular" posters, who tend to voraciously read everything that's tossed up, which is why I think this particular method will work.
Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to point fingers or wave around the Nasty Big Stick Of DEAT, I'm just wanting to nip a trend in the bud. There's no warnings being handed out here (not even unofficial ones), but if things continue, I'll have to do just that.
So, please, before you post, take a couple seconds to think about what you're writing. If it's snide, pissy, insulting, flamish, or otherwise inappropriate, either change it or don't post it at all. I really don't want to have to start stomping on posts, so try a little self-policing.
I'm going leave this locked, as it's really just an announcement. After about a week or so, I'll unstick it, and let it sink to the bowels of the forum.
