Bill of Rights
A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.

Category: Human Rights
Strength: Significant
Proposed by: Ysral

Description: In that Some nations have exhibited a lack of concern for the wellbeing of their respective peoples, the United Nations, as the principal arbiter of Human Rights, Should make it compulsory that all nations, whether liberal or conservative, shall shed forth in theirselves the light of Human Rights, namely Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, the inalienable rights which have existed since time began.

I just recently proposed this to the UN. Please comment and endorse it.

Despite the best of intentions, this "proposal," if it can even be called that, is too vague. The people of Cluichstan cannot support it.

Respectfully,

Cluichstan's Ambassador to the UN
Regional Delegate from Scybala

First of all this already exist as a RESOLUTION. Secondly your proposal is way to vague.

Here's a link to the text of the The Universal Bill of Rights:

Bill of Rights

Description: In that Some nations have exhibited a lack of concern for the wellbeing of their respective peoples,

Define:
-Capitalist nations might show a lack of concern for the wellbeing of those who are exploited by their own system, but they do show concern for those that benefit from society. The US is often criticized for its failure to show concern for the poor, the drug users, the homosexual, etc. However, it shows concern for a large portion of its population. You can find a similar hole in every single nation on the planet (in my home nation of Canada, Health Care has been an issue for several years, and post-secondary education is starting to hit the list in various regions while the Military has been horribly underfunded since the Liberals took power in '93 and Western Alienation or French Sovereignty have been issues for most of the time that Canada has been a nation).
-Communist countries have, of course, been the simplist target for Human Rights abuses, but the entire communist theory is around helping the working class.

the United Nations, as the principal arbiter of Human Rights, Should make it compulsory that all nations, whether liberal or conservative, shall shed forth in theirselves the light of Human Rights,

I believe we have a few resolutions that did this already.

namely Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, the inalienable rights which have existed since time began.

Inalienable rights? If they were inalienable, dictatorships which have dominated the majority of history would never have been able to function whatsoever.

I just recently proposed this to the UN. Please comment and endorse it.

No endorsement granted.
