Writing resolutions takes alot of time to do and for those that take the time to do so I applaud. The recent resolution that was recently passed which is now being repealed had about 7 thousand votes more for it and now has is on the verge of being repealed by 3 thousand votes! It is things like this I dont understand besides comming across some of the same issues day after day and others months go by before seeing them again! If there is 7 thousand more people that vote for a resolution than against it I do not see how it could be repealed!

This is a question that should be posted in the UN forum (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=1225).

Nonetheless, I'll answer with a quote from a UN forum regular.

On day 3 of voting on the original resolution, 3 things happened that pretty much determined that this resolution was going to be repealed:
1) Starcra II was finally convinced by the forum members (there was a lot of opposition on the forums) that this was an unfeasable resolution and indicated his support for repeal.
2) Telidia began a massive telegram campaign to many delegates. This ended up stirring up a ton of debate on off-site forums or regional boards as people started considering the consequences. In fact, the final days of voting reflected this new thought. However, many hadn't had enough time to debate before the resolution was passed, hence the actual repeal
3) A repeal and a replacement started being drafted on the forums, getting a fairly decent level of support - the former, almost unanimous.

What's interesting is that the debate that had been happening amongst the forum regulars had finally started happening amongst those throughout the world and that is why we were so quick to change our decision.
