"the following proposal would be to limit the amount of pollutants put out by companies and individuals and limit or completely put a stop to incursion into the rainforest and other areas of wildlife"]

my ideas would be to close uranium mining down effective as of immediatly and to phase out other environment harming industries such as Woodchipping (which cuts down rainforests){which could be replaced by tree farms}
another idea would be to further the environment by re-planting trees and captively breeding endangered animals well add so i can make a compilation and compose my proposal thanks!

I like your idea, but you really need to flesh it out a lot more before it can be a good proposal.

You should check the UN resolutoins that have been passed already. There are already resolutions for replanting trees and protecting endangered species. Also, while I might agree abou the stopping of uranium mining, you are going to have a really tough time convincing the UN of it. Almost all nations I have spoken with support nuclear fission at least for an interim power source until cleaner energies can be further developed enough.

For a poor country such as _Myopia_, we could not hope to rely solely on renewable CO2-free power sources without strangling any hope of economic progress. Therefore, in the interests of minimising our fossil fuel usage and stopping global warming without condemning our people to eternal poverty, we have to use fission for a substantial part of our energy needs. We do recognise the environmental damage caused by mining (which is minimised by careful regulation of the nationalised uranium mining industry), the potential dangers of radioactive waste (it is handled very carefully) and the finite nature of uranium supplies. Nevertheless, the benefits outweigh the costs, so we cannot support any prohibition of uranium mining.

And there is already legislation concerning protection of forests. As far as I can remember, it is all of fairly poor quality, and I would be prepared to consider new legislation - so long as some of the earlier legislation was repealed first. But it would have to take into account that it is not usually justifiable to deny any and all use of natural resources. What we ought to aim for is sustainable usage, whereby humans can benefit from nature without permanently or significantly damaging it.

myopia u have a good point but i still think that uranium mining and any greehouse effect causing ways of power are bad enough that they should be phased outi mean the greehouse effect is messing up everything look at the two major hurricanes to hit in the gulf of mexico the damage caused outweighs the cost of cutting out those energy sources
