UNESCO proposal/real-world violation?

Hmm don't know if this is covered by UN proposal rules, but it should be. This is the case where a proposal suggests a UN body already created in the real world and then plagiarises its mission statement

The proposal below is setting up the real life organisation UNESCO, and while I understand the perceived niche/need for an actual NSUN organisation promoting sustainable development/quality education/world peace/combatting poverty/gender equality, have a bit of imagination and make it up yourself please!

Here's the proposal:

The establishment of UNESCO

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.
Category: Human Rights
Strength: Mild
Proposed by: Adam Isle

Description: The Commonwealth of Adam Isle proposes to found UNESCO - the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

UNESCO will be working to create the conditions for genuine dialogue based upon respect for shared values and the dignity of each civilization and culture.
This role is critical, particularly in the face of terrorism, which constitutes an attack against humanity. The world urgently requires global visions of sustainable development based upon observance of human rights, mutual respect and the alleviation of poverty, all of which lie at the heart of UNESCO’s mission and activities.

Through its strategies and activities, UNESCO is actively pursuing the "Millennium Development Goals", especially those aiming to:
# halve the proportion of people living in extreme poverty in developing countries

# achieve universal primary education in all countries

# eliminate gender disparity in primary and secondary education

# help countries implement a national strategy for sustainable development to reverse current trends in the loss of environmental resources.

in believe that All individuals, no matter where they live, must have the opportunity to learn how to reason and to cultivate humanistic values, the first as the motor for material progress, the second to lay the foundations for peace and respect for human rights. An educated population, aware of its fundamental rights, is more likely to share in the fruits of democracy. And sharing the benefits of science and technology equally among the peoples of the world will improve their health and well-being.

As you can see most of the statements are lifted off this website and this blatant "copying and pasting" is used to try and make an intelligent sounding resolution, well here's a tip - be original and don't plagiarise!

Tips/comments/etc appreciated

First, there is the creating council rule. The resolution only creates a council, which violates this rule.

Second, there is this line:

Through its strategies and activities, UNESCO is actively pursuing the "Millennium Development Goals", especially those aiming to:

Millennium Goals don't exist in the NSUN. So this would be a real-world reference.

For another strike against it, it's branded as well.

While I agree with your comment, I don't think they have ever come out against a document coming from RL that was correctly formatted for applicability in the NSUN. However, this one is not

Here's the proposal:

The establishment of UNESCO

A resolution to improve worldwide human and civil rights.
Category: Human Rights
Strength: Mild

Ok, we have a human rights with mild rating....might be needed

Description: The Commonwealth of Adam Isle proposes to found UNESCO - the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Branding

UNESCO will be working to create the conditions for genuine dialogue based upon respect for shared values and the dignity of each civilization and culture.
This role is critical, particularly in the face of terrorism, which constitutes an attack against humanity. The world urgently requires global visions of sustainable development based upon observance of human rights, mutual respect and the alleviation of poverty, all of which lie at the heart of UNESCO’s mission and activities.

Looks alright

Through its strategies and activities, UNESCO is actively pursuing the "Millennium Development Goals", especially those aiming to:

Real Life reference, illegal.

# halve the proportion of people living in extreme poverty in developing countries

Fine

# achieve universal primary education in all countries

Mandated

# eliminate gender disparity in primary and secondary education

Humorous, but fine

# help countries implement a national strategy for sustainable development to reverse current trends in the loss of environmental resources.

ooo - that one would be a good idea as the base idea for a new resolution

in believe that All individuals, no matter where they live, must have the opportunity to learn how to reason and to cultivate humanistic values, the first as the motor for material progress, the second to lay the foundations for peace and respect for human rights. An educated population, aware of its fundamental rights, is more likely to share in the fruits of democracy. And sharing the benefits of science and technology equally among the peoples of the world will improve their health and well-being.

Aside from low-quality wording.......ok

the Commonwealth of Adam Isle, linux.

Branding again.

Approvals: 29 (Soldier Moth, Of Cascadia, Eastern Louisville, Adam Isle, Gaiah, The 1st Kemdoph Army, Mihkrit, Punrovia, WZ Forums, Seattletonia, Eve the First, Flanagania, Blue Buddhas, Gymnophobia, Republic of Freedonia, The Bruce, Skyscraper Island, EndaVille, Have a beer, Biophysics, Dsjtuj, Elghinn, Romania 1918, Agramerland, Ecopoeia, Haapalinna, Shariann, Suuropolis, New Hamilton)

Really? New Hamilton supported it? What happened to "we need to spend more time on Environment than Human Rights"?

Status: Lacking Support (requires 100 more approvals)

Branding, real world reference, plagarism. Yup. Illegal.
