As per UNR#57:

There is supposed to be convened in 2005 a conference in Miervatia, Mikitivity, a conference on illicit small arms sales.

We would ask the host nation to please inform the assembled ambassadors and delegates whether the proposed agenda (left in the USO forums) meets with their approval, and open a call for speakers and participants from other UN member nations. We look forward to this convocation.

Woah, Listeneisse, calm down.
I'm new too, and I too was very excited about the concept of UN RP. But don't do this.
1. We haven't even agreed if there will be a conference yet.
2. Mikitivity hasn't explicitly agreed to host it yet.
3. You mention the UNO forums. Why not keep it there for the moment?

Hello,
My government will in fact be capable and honored to host the conference. Perhaps the first step would be to come up with:
- A way to build an invite list,
- A provisional agenda.
OOC: In the meantime, I think the last few things I need to do is to build a Wiki entry for Miervatia's airport and also create a convention center. Other than that there should be enough Wiki material there to give newsreports a bit of material to nick if they want to write about the conference setting for a very *short* bit.

OOC: Keep in mind that if y'all want to RP it on the Jolt forums it will probably need to go in NationStates or International Incidents, not the UN forum. At least that's the impression I got from old Mod rulings on the subject.

OOC: Since this is a UN based RP, it might be appropriate in any of the three forums (NationStates is probably the best) ... it would be nice if a moderator could allow us to invite UN members and post a link to another thread in one of the other forums. :)

Well, Resolution #57 simply calls for a conference to curb illict small arms trade. As Listeneisse has noted, the initial discussion is on the UNO (http://s3.invisionfree.com/UN_Organizations/index.php) forum. No one can definitely say what will be discussed - it's up to us to decide.
The Supremely democratic states of Hirota, more used to observing the debates of member states rather than participation in recent times, would like to participate in such a conference, and is happy to send representatives to any conference on this topic.
