In response to this UN Proposal:

Trade Embargo on Mars

Description: The United Nations,

RECOGNIZING that the planet of Mars has neither contributed to the wellbeing of the planet Earth nor planned to contribute to the wellbeing of the planet Earth in the future.

UNDERSTANDING that it is unknown whether Mars is amassing a military, as the Martian government refuses to respond to messages sent to them.

MANDATES that all nations officially and immediately cease all trade with the planet of Mars.

URGES that nations make a policy not to send aid to Mars or the Martian people.

Unfortunately, there is little we can do to stop this sort of thing from happening. Perhaps sending a polite message to the proposal author regarding the claims he made would help resolve the situation.

Guessed wrong, it's still there on the top of page 4... only now it has 16 approvals.

The United States of Mars: The Supremely democratic states of Hirota is sympathetic towards your situation and wishes to express our opposition to this proposal.

It would appear however, that a bout of common sense has struck many UN delegates, and it does not appear to have been endorsed in serious numbers.
