Is it possible to amend a resolution already in UN law if I believe it needs changing?

No, in order to change a resolution you have to first repeal the resolution and then submit the replacement.

My fault, I'm afraid. I tried adding onto my own resolution, #54, but I used "Amendments" in the title, and that gave one of the mods a heart attack. You cannot change anything previously covered, or add onto a previous resolution, without repealing it first. It's a very tedious process, which is why it helps to draft the hell out of your proposals before they reach quorum.
You may also want to learn from my example and not mention the word "amendment" in any proposal, even if you're not amending anything.
