Resolution 4: UN Taxation Ban does not mean that nations cannot be taxed. It basically means that if the UN is to legislate the tax, the tax is not allowed to be put on the individual citizens. Corporations and Governments, however, are allowed to be taxed by UN policies.

UN taxes? That would go over about as well as most "get rid of nukes!" resolutions would. No matter how you worded a resolution allowing the UN to tax member states, it would fail.

We already pay a needlessly high membership fee. It comes out of our national sovereignty accounts. I'm actually trying to reduce the fee to a reasonable level.

Amen Brother! Preach the Good Word! :D
Yes technically you are already paying UN dues. An additional Membership fee seems to me a tax by another name. So just call it a UN tax. Brrr! Sends Chills up my evil conservative spine. Sometimes I can't for the life of me figure out why the left loves taxes so much. But then my nation is an economic powerhouse currently with a 0% income tax rate. :p

Then add the cost of:
1) A sunk 60' yacht that the UN Committee of Whales sank last year chasing fairy whales
2) A sunk 50' yacht that the UN Committee of Dolphins sank last year counting pink dolphins.
3) A lost jet plane that the UN Committee of Elaphants flew into a hill two years ago teaching dumbo elaphants to fly.

An a host of other items we write off to support the UN Committes... and who needs more fees or taxes...
