The Global Illuminati

how many people actually do eat dolphins? My national's animal is the dolphin, which is also a very popular dish. And since the population is too large, there's absolutely no reason to protect them. Not repealing this would be damaging to a large part of our economies (the ones that eat dolphin).

Well, McGruenalds do a tasty Dolphin Burger (go large for just 075 Opst!), but I have to admit it's not a widely eaten dish in Gruenberg.

Some Ecopoeian communities do hunt and consume dolphins, subject to stringent regulations set down by the nation's Environmental Court.

I'm sure they meant dolphins as in the cute, intelligent, mammal variety.
(which nobody eats, as far as I know)
Our navy has standing orders to sieze illegal fishing vessels and fleets, that aren't dolphin safe.

At one time we used dolphin as a filler in our canned tuna product. After all they were caught in our nets, so they became part of the product. However we stopped once we joined the UN. Insted we are looking at using porpoises and orcas as a substitute.

The great nude

Dolphins are a sacred mammal in The Great Nude. Our fishermen avoid them at sea when bringing in the fish. In the odd case of the dolphins' eating all the fish, we have a cunning technique of prodding them away with a long stick.
It is only an Urban Legend that dolphins are quite tasty, a little bit like salty chicken! The one's eating them are more appealed by the act of doing something forbidden (even in countries this is allowed there are strong moral standards that usually don't tolerate this at all.) In fact, Dolphins have an awfull taste! No sauce whatsoever has helped it. AND after consuming one bite, your mouth stinks - really stinks - for at least 48 hours!
That's also why The Global Illuminati isn't a very popular destination for tourism ... Sad but true.
