Well, we now have at the very least three weeks before a new ban is or isn't put into place. Has the new resolution been thrown to the proposals list yet?

Wouldn't it be about 2 weeks? (4 days for current resolution, 4 days for next one, 4 days for the ban - 12 days (2 weeks less 2 days)) Assuming the ban is approved right away and no other resolutions go into queue before it of course.

"5 days"
and the proposition "labelling standards" seems to be not far from quorum

I am saddened that the resolution was repealed but remain in hope that a better alternative resolution is drafted that will materially affect the ability of nations to use chemical weapons.

You seem to be laboring under the delusion that this chemical-weapons ban somehow impedes the progress of terrorist organizations in acquiring said weapons.
I must add Mr Riley that it has allways astounded me the people assume that criminals follow the law.

i'm considering resigning from the UN now all chemical weapons have been banned come on even tear gas for good law inforcement you have to let them do something what's next can't use a gun anymore? and Anarkaia is right it's foolish to do a one side disarmment terrorist won't play by our rules they'll continue using them while we just destroy ours

I think that might be a good idea considering you failed to grasp that this Repealed the chemical weapons ban.

It is, as stated in the stickies/faq, automatically enforced in all nations by the gnomes. The U.N. doesn't have to worry about the judicial aspect of the debate, it's a legislative branch with an automatic enforcement.

Indeed, all nations that are in the UN must follow it's resolutions. However, in case you have failed too notice, there are a lot of nations that are NOT members the UN and therefore are not bound by it's resolutions. Those nations were able to maintain stockpiles of Chemical weapons.
