Proposal for Resolution- Studies of War

My country believes that the only real way to cut down on war is to understand it and research it. I myself believe that any form of war is absolutely unnecessary as at some point in time, it could well have been prevented. The UN is a peace organization that promotes fairness and equality; war does not fit in here. We must act quickly to make sure that war does not kill anymore victims.

Article 1: A UN hired team is to be given the specific job of researching wars and discussing ways in which they could have been prevented

Article 2: UN must hire a team of war specialists who are responsible for seeing events that could lead to war and suggesting ways to peacefully resolve them

Article 3: UN resolves to hold back its armies until they themselves have been attacked or a war starts that they failed to prevent

Article 4: UN attempts to induce members of countries that were once at war into the organization.

Article5: The UN mandates every UN Nation to recognize definitly their international border and the international borders of every other UN Nation and to no more pretend over more territories ever,if a nation claims some of its territories have been invaded by another Nation, and want to take back control of it, this nation is invited to to expose the situation to the team created by article [2]

The Most Serene Republic of Love and esterel proudly supports this proposition

maybe you will be interested in the following point:

The UN mandates every UN Nation to recognize definitly their international border and the international borders of every other UN Nation and to no more pretend over more territories ever,

if a nation claims some of its territories have been invaded by another Nation, and want to take back control of it, this nation is invited to expose the situation to the team created by article [2]

The UN has no "armies" to hold back... and the last time I checked, nations still have the right to declare war on whoever they want for whatever reason... try and get a bill passed that says otherwise and you'll find a lot of warlike ex-UN member states coming after you...

Sorry, perhaps you misunderstand, Fatus Maximus; this is not based on preventing those from declaring war on one another, it is based on studying war to help PREVENT war from happening. By this I mean that certain people are chosen to study wars and their causes, and if they see a situation where a war may arise, they should be allowed to bring this issue before he United Nations to see what steps need to be taken to prevent the war ferom happening.

However, I stand corrected on the matter of the UN army; rather I amend my statement to be UN sanctioned military coalitions. As for what you say, it is not legal for people to randomly attack others. The only law that governs fair war is self-defence; however, someone has to start the war for there to be one, and this is the point I'm trying to get at. Every single war in all of history could have been prevented if steps were taken to prevent them. That said, there may be circumstances where a person or governor gives no warning or any sort of hint as to a next step.

maybe, it's better as

if a nation claims some of its territories have been invaded by another Nation before this resolution was voted, and want to take back control of it, this nation is invited to expose the situation to the team created by article [2]

only if the issue ha not yet been resolved, we dont want people to be giving back chunks of land that were agreed upon 500 years ago.

There is a definition of unjustified war, but that does not mean that an unjustified war is prohibited.

I will get to the actual proposal when I have a bit more time

Did I ever say it was prohibited? No. I said we should take steps to prevent. That does not include prohibition.
