Why can Repeals not be repealed?

I was looking through the past resolutions and noticed that there are several repeals, that are rediculous, most notably the repeal on Fighting the Axis of Evil. :sniper:

As any repeal is questioning the way that the UN voted surely it should require a 10% share of the regional delegates votes? As the UN has already voted and accepted that proposal.:headbang:

And because of this surely the UN has the right to Repeal a Repeal, we do have a right to question the past repeals in the light of new world incidents. :mp5:

If you wish to repeal a repeal isnt that the same as coming up with a new proposal mimicing the repealed one?
So if i were to try to repeal the repealed Axis of evil resolution i would submit A similar text and try to improve on the original. it would go to the delegates for approval etc.
It must be noted of course that the new laws regarding RL comments must be taken into account.

Exactly.

There are three examples of topics that were repealed and then improved by another resolution:

- Global Library
- Prostitution
- Bioweapons

Each had a resolution that was repealed. Nations that liked the *topic* of the then repealed resolutions got together and wrote replacements. In fact, the original bioweapons resolution was repealed by Reformentia who already had a replacement resolution ready to go by the time the repeal passed.

Not to mention a lot of the time the REASON a resolution is repealed is BECAUSE it is going to be replaced by another one.

Not a bad point, considering resolutions 106 and 70 are in the repeals as the new conservation bill, Also awaiting delegate approval, is aimed at replacing them.

Just what I was thinking. I think this is also the first time I've seen anyone defend resolution #1.

Makes me wonder if those nations might not be run by the author of resolution #1. ;)
