we must have parts of the world were people can see the wonders of the world around us.

We don't like our sexual preferences to be humored ... stop that!

I'm sorry but we will not support putting pants on our National Animal.. They don't need them nor want them..

About 25 years ago here in Brisbane Aust, there was a very moralistic woman who pushed very strongly for a law making it mandatory for animals to wear clothes in public. She considered it obscene for dogs and cats to "let it all hang out". Of course she was laughed down, but put up quite a struggle first :D.

I bet she had invested in a sweat shop some place that made teddy bear pants and shirts.. Thus expected a big profit when the law got passed.. Thus would see her not as moralistic but realistic...

OOC: If it makes you feel better, Brisbane California is full of weirdos too. In fact, I'm convinced that it is the city where people whom are so weird in San Francisco end up living.
In any event, I wonder if that woman plays nation states, as we've all seen some pretty extreme and "left-field" ideas promoted.

Not surprised to hear about Brisbane California. Must be something about the name :D.
I think the woman concerned, Rhona Joyner, died some years ago. Not sure though. It would be interesting to see what sort of stuff she'd present in this game. Most of what she presented in real life was either very contraversial, or downright weird :).

I'm sorry to hear she died. :( While no doubt, it would be frustrating to see a RL community spend time and tax dollars debating clothing so we aren't looking at dog butts, she sounds like San Francisco's "Emperor Norton". He was a crazy man who declared himself Emperor of the United States. San Franciscians decided he was harmless and actually played along with him, giving him free food and bowing to him.

I've read about him. His story is in my copy of "The worlds greatest cranks and crackpots" book. He's the first story in the "great pretenders" chapter.
Rhona Joyner wasn't crazy though. She was very well educated (for a woman who was around 60 years old in the late 70s) and intelligent. She just had some very funny ideas about morality. As you can imagine she was very anti-gay, anti-contraception etc.
