Hello I am the President of Kantervia.

Kantervia is a reasonably new nation, and we would like to know if there is some type of NationStates olympics, and if their isn't I wish to go to the UN and find some way of forming an Olympic comitee.

It's been tried before and it's almost impossible to write it so that it's legal.

There have been many Olympic Games, but there is little to no chance of them being organised through the UN. Try to role-play forums (NationStates, International Incidents).

Olympics? Olympics are for weak yellow bellied captalists who enjoy frolicking around like monkeys in tights. What this world truly needs is a sense of competition - competition with a consequence. I propose a series of nationalistic WARGAMES to improve relations between such dear nations which never had a chance to meet on the battlefield, but have always itched about having such contests.

Which I am sure also happen, in the Role Play forums, not in the UN.

In my oppinion WARGAMES is a complete waste of time, why risk lives and weapons for he entertainment of the masses. It's suicide for those who joined the army to protect their home nation. Olympics would give a nice competitive spirit to those in the games and those around them.

WarGames would be a waste of people and weapons, but not as much as most real wars. I say that such a war simulation should be an Olympic event.

I think you all are missing the obviouse choice why dont we set up the olypic war games commision headed and funded by the UN that way will kill all the birds with one stone. Only UN members can join in, best of the amry and athletes, kinder like K1 But with more bloodshed and a higher death rate.

I should note that my region was invited by one of our allies to participate in a series of war games. We chose not to participate because of a timing issue for both our President and Prime Minister. They happen outside the jurisdiction of this General Assembly when some member decides to organize them. There is no reason for the General Assembly to be order the gnomes to organize a UN wide olympics when there are several nations both in and out of the UN who would be quite willing to do so themselves.
