An act to extinguish poverty and boost economy

This proposal will allow the UN to setup camps in each UN affiliated nations in order that Poverty stricken people may be given the opportunity to be sent there for cleaning up and to find jobs, finish their highschool education, or go through alchohol and drug rehabilitation. Throughout this entire program the citizen(s) in question will be in the camp completely voluntary, he/she can leave any time.

Buses will be running routes through the crowded streets of each nations metropolis and no person(s) are forced to enter the bus.

In the event that the citizen does not wish to do any of the above listed programs, ie. he may choose to work for the state for the U.N. minimum wage, as stated in a previous bill.

Summary- A nation is only as great as its lowest citizen. This proposal will help cleanup poverty in each and everyone of our nations great cities. Not only does it cleanup our cities but it adds to the workforce and helps our economies. Also it will help deter the crime rate by helping drug and alchohol addicts to rehabilitate and become a regular member of society.

I need at least 2 people to endorse me so i can propose this bill...any additions, subtractions or thoughts would be great.

By the way I can put this into a more legeslative format but I thought that this way better explains everything...

Although BlueTiger feels that this an amazingly brilliant idea, and are willing to attemt to get our regional delagete to support this proposal, we must point out that it is illegal to make a proposal that has anything based on a past resolution, in case that resolution gets repealed.

In the event that the citizen does not wish to do any of the above listed programs, ie. he may choose to work for the state for the U.N. minimum wage, as stated in a previous bill.

This is the article that makes the proposal illegal. We have no ideas on haw to solve the problem, unforutnatly, other than to simply remove the artical.

Best of Luck,

My government supports this.
Except i think that the term poverty is quite too board. Theres nations that are so poor that everyone can be considered as living in poverty. How does one measure poorness?

However, I speak on behalf of my government that I will seek for the support of my U.N delegate to approve this proposed Act.

So people are only poor because they are dirty, have abuse problems, and didn't finish high school? Last time I checked things weren’t that simple.

I really don't see what good this will do.

Camps for poor people? This sounds much like ghettobuilding, doesn't it?
Although we approve of the rehabilitation programms you want to establish, (even if we don't really appreciate the fact that the first thing mentionned is "cleaning up", it still represents a job worth a decent wage) we don't think that gathering poeple of the same social and/or economic level in one space will help integration of these people.
I'm sure this resolution means well, but we're most sceptic about the effect camps of poor people will have on most communities.

It certainly does.

Besides being a tad unjust, it probably won't work. The ghetto people will just get out their ghetto-blasters and ghetto-kill all the ghetto-guards.

To let you all know...poverty stricken people means basically anyone who is homeless or that you would find in a back alley in your true neiborhood.

Think of these camps as one very large homeless shelter.

The twist you put on my proposal is not the purpose...yes it is meant good and will do good.

I never said ghetto building....ghetto building is a permanent camp...these people will be:

1. allowed to leave at any time.
2. Will be helped back into society by finding them jobs where they can earn money and help the economy.

I am in no way trying to push them out of society all together...and the balck new world...IT IS A PROVEN FACT that most poverty stricken people did not finish highschool, abuse alchohol, and use illegal drugs. And cleaning up does not mean dirty it means that they will be given attire that will help them look professional for job interviews and for everyday work.

And chipmunks please explain to me how this proposal is unjust...It helps them and throughout the process it is completely voluntary...they may leave at any time...

This proposal is for people who want to help themselves not for people whom the government thinks needs help.
