We have a proposal going through the UN that needs 139 delagates to help it through. Our great nation of Huudar is asking delagates who care to help our cause. The name of the proposal is Mary Jane must be banned!! We need help passing this proposal because marijuana is ruining all that we stand for. Those of you that care please help. Thank you for your support.

it is legal in my nation, but not in public.

When I first saw the Title of your proposal MARY JANE.. I was ordering White Light bulbs to replace the Red ones now up.. We feel that if you can't beat them TAX them out of it... or in the case of MJ we feel there are a lot worse drugs out there that do a lot worse.. Tobacco is one so MJ falls under the same strict laws for sale as does regular Tobacco here. About the only place you can smoke, chew, snort, or whatever it is at home.. Aslo if you come to work and are found not able to do your skilled job due to use then you have no job or can end up in a work camp.. and thus would not be able to draw unemployment since were canned for cause or in case of work camp have a job just not an easy one..... Also it like drinking which is also TAXED high and the funds used to keep people who choose to use it in line.., if you drink and mess up then you pay... or lose...

I second the proposal, but will vote against if it becomes a resolution.

Banning MJ is just dumb off course. :headbang:

Does the UN Single Convention on Drugs apply to this game anyway? I't legal in my country :)

No real life conventions apply to NS, unless they have been copied and passed by the NSUN. At present and to the best of my knowledge, the NSUN has no legislation on drugs except for a resolution promoting programs to stop needle-sharing.

I'd appreciate it if you kept slang terms out of legislation. Ignoring the issue of how appropriate it is, there is a problem because slang terms such as this are not universally understood between and even within nations. I'm sure that there's a good deal of slang in use for drugs in _Myopia_ which would have little meaning for you, so it's easier if we use the commonly understood proper names.

Anyway, _Myopia_ will continue to oppose any and all prohibitionist legislation. We have legalised and regulated the sale and consumption of all recreational drugs, and find that regulation combined with appropriate health and education programs provides a solution to the problems posed by drugs which, while of course imperfect, is a good deal more productive and respectful of liberty than the often-futile "wars on drugs" waged by so many nations.

I recommend that the ambassador from Huudar light up some blueberry-flavored dro and then reassess his feelings on the matter.

For example, I have never heard the term "Mary Jane" before and thought your title was regarding an annoyance with Spiderman or something.

Drug use is considered a personal choice in our Community, and we would be appaled to consider it an issue within the jurisdiciton of the UN (soverignty issues galore). Thus I hope you are at most only encouraging nations to ban marijuana use, not banning it altogether.

And forgive me if this sounds snide, but there are a few citizen of my nation named Mary Jane who are quite frightened of being unfairly disctiminated by UN members.

If this ever reaches a vote I will vote to ban it. This drug is not only unhealthy but it makes you do things that your unaware of to a sertan digree. I personally have a friend who does this drug so I know first had. This drug is outlawed in my nation. But the Idea of taxing this drug could make people go broke useing it.
