An 'Anti-UN' is oxymoronic

Super-power

Why am I doing this? thought retired mobile suit pilot and General, and ex-senator Amuro Ray to himself. I am never able to make a point with any of the conservative UN members anyway, and the AEUG of Super-power isn't in the UN. Oh well, here goes nothing

Amuro then clicked the 'Send' button, which sent a mass email to most of the UN delegates. It read as the following:

Hello delegates, Amuro here. If you are one of the more conservative/libertarian members of the UN, I implore you to read on. The rest of you can read, if you like.

Often, I have heard cries for a second UN, to contrast to the more socialist UN of now. Well I'm sorry, but your so-called 'Anti-UN,' judging by that name, would be oxymoronic. This supposed 'Anti-UN' means that you oppose the UN, *and* other forms of int'l/world government.

Perhaps it wouldn't be oxymoronic if it was called the 'Conservative' UN. Though I'm quite sure its potential charter and following arcyonym, the 'Conservative United Nations' Treaty,' would be a major flop (Unless of course you added the 'o' in conservative, making it the COUNT).

Well I'm done ranting,

OOC: :D ...The Conservative UN Treaty? Quite an acronym there.

But, I'd like to point out that "anti" is not always meant as diametric opposition. Occasionally the word 'anti' is used to mean "differing from" such as was the case with the Anti-pope from history.
