UN Questions for MaxChat

Feel free to post any questions for Max Barry regarding the UN (in light of the upcoming MaxChat). Or, if they aren't strictly related to the UN, any questions the regular posters here might like to have answered by Max.
This is not official, as I have no way to ask Max these questions. This is just a place to submit possible MaxQuestions for other UN posters to read.
I'm curious if Max's nation is in the UN and if he does much on a regional UN level.

As in the past, I won't be available to ask questions of Max, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to post a few here.
1. How active are you in the UN?
2. Did you vote for my resolutions? :D
3. Would you prefer to see the UN operate as a world government or a confederation? (I think I already know the answer to this one, but what the hell...)
4. Do you even know who the hell I am?

1. Max, which of the NS UN resolutions is your personal favorite? Why?
2. When you made the environmental categories, you really lumped a few broad categories and ignored other environmental issues, such as ocean / river (water based) issues -- what are your thoughts on adding a few new specific UN resolution categories, perhaps including new subcategories to the environmental category?

Numero Uno- Why do you choose to keep your nation name a secret, is your nation in the UN?
Numero Dos- Do you get annoyed with people always asking you questions about the game and such like I/we are right now?
Numero Tres- If you are in the UN, are you a delegate?
Numero Cuatro- Do you like the current resolutions the UN has in place?
Numero Cinco- How many nations do you have?

Salutations, bountiful provider of workday solace. Were you glad to see Resolution #1 get the boot?

Given the proximity of Maxchat (just a couple of days, I believe), I feel it appropriate to bump this and see if there are any new questions that posters in the UN have come up with.
They don't have to relate to the UN. :)
I don't suppose I would have any UN related questions. I would be Very interested in any information he might divulge about Nationstates2.

First, if I'm there or not (likely not), my questions are fair game for anybody. I'm interested in the questions ... not asking them. With that in mind, is somebody reading this thread is there, PLEASE feel free to ask the questions I've posted if you want. :)
Second when is it again? Saturday?

I believe so. I'm pretty sure it's Saturday for my time zone any way.
Katganistan, the genius that she is, has given us a link to the exact time no matter what our time zone is, from timaanddate.com or somesuch. Anyway, here it is (it's from the announcement of Maxchat):

1. Are you feeling a little overwhelmed with all these questions? :D
2. How involved are you with the Nationstates 2 project?
With luck, some of the people who play NationStates will buy the book. Then my publisher will think I am a left-field marketing genius, instead of a chump who blew four months on a web game when he should have been working on his next novel.
3. Your marketing strategy was a success- I was browsing my local bookstore a couple months ago and stumbled upon the barcode-tatoo cover of Jennifer Government. I read the back and was interested, but ended up leaving it on the shelf. Two months later, I got the Nationstates link from a friend, and after running my country to my heart's content, I made sure to pick up the book the next time I stopped by the store. A great read, which has turned into a great game.
4. Is your nation in the UN? If so, do you frequent the Stranger's Bar? :D

After the resolution and friend's wedding, I certainly think you deserve a bit of bar time! :)
PC, thanks for the link ... if I don't visit my family this weekend, I believe I'll try to make an excuse to be there. While I'm interested in what Max might say, I also hope that some UN regulars might stick around a bit on IRC.

It looks like I'll be around and I'll be there. It will be cool to chat with people, and I'd like to suggest we also go in the #unitednations channel too!

I guess I won't be there. Not only have I never participated in irc, and don't know the first place t ogo to get the necessary software (or that my connection speed can handle the download), but I'm actually getting together with some old buddies tonight and playing some video games. Ah, blessed mindless entertainment...

Help us Goober-wan Kenobi, you're our only hope!
I think Tuesday was the one that linked the site to download mIRC when I asked this question:
1) Search Google for mIRC -- it is free,
2) I have a dail-up, it is slow, but not bad.
I can look at my setup if you are tempted to be late for your video game date. And for the record, after the chat, I'll be running to my friend's place to play one of those retro Atari game sets he bought last night. :)
Ecopoeia, did you have questions you wanted us to ask for you? (PC, I'm still holing out hope we can guilt you.) ;)

I'm sitting in the channel from now until at least MaxChat is over. However, I have no clude if I'll actually notice MaxChat before it is over

It was interesting.
For those of you that missed it, the transcript of the chat session will eventually be available, and we'll repost the link in this thread. :)
