Description: I propose that we continue on where President Ronald Reagan left off in the 1980s, in constructing an orbital defense station capable of targeting and destroying any threats to international security. This station would protect only UN nations against international threats, such as terrorists. It would be capable of destroying anything ranging from a ballistic missile to jet fighter to terrorist bunker.

Please, UN nations, it is time for us to stop worrying about any future attacks or bombings. It's time for THEM to worry.

OOC: Any proposal on this needs to be couched in terms that do not reference real life. Regardless, the Star Wars programme was and is an absurd waste of time.

I was one of those protesting in the streets very loudly against Reagan's idea of star wars in the 80s, and my stance about it, in a game or real life, hasn't changed. We have enough bombs on the ground. We don't need the darn things spinning around over our heads as well.

You would also need to guarantee that nothing could possible go wrong with it. Imagine an orbital defence stations orbit decaying and the thing crashing through the atmosphere back to earth. Can you assure us that no bomb would survive and land on one of our nations along with the debris?

True, some form of orbital nuke killer ray gun, if it worked, would basicaly nullify nuclear ICBM arsonals. It also would promote the use of "backpack" nukes or cruise missles to deplot the weapons.

In either case you would need to define you idea more.
