Terrorist Public loudspeakers and sirens to sound an alert if a terrorist attack is possible, it will give more security, and it could save more lives than if it happened unexpectedly, it still could, but having public loudspeakers and sirens would give extra awareness and security.

I would like to everybody's views on this proposal, if you agree with it, please visit ' United Nations ' and click on ' List Proposals ' and then type in the find proposal box ' Terrorist Alert System '. Please spread the word about this proposal and please make sure your UN Delegate votes for this proposal before Thursday.

My honest personal opinion is that alerts and sirens sounding everytime there is a possibility of a terrorist attack would just scare the hell out of the population and cause a mass panic for no real reason.

I think its a bit much for a possible attack. I wouldn't have a problem with an alert system for use during or just after an attack thats happening/happened though. That could serve both to warn the people, and to alert them to be ready to deal with the aftermarth.

Terrorism does not threaten all nations equally, and therefore different systems are suitable for each nation. _Myopia_ is not under any particular terrorist threat, and so we feel it to be more worthwhile to use our limited resources on intelligence to monitor any emerging threats and on other areas. Only if we become aware that terrorists might have reason to attack our citizens would it make sense for us to use our resources setting up systems like the one you suggest.
