im just started a cuple of days ago but i noticed today that the U.N debates alot of stuff right. they debate over how much a nation can charge for taxes and wether to save the dolphins. i know that people choose to join th un but y do they. nation states gives u the opurtunity to make ur nation a democracy or dictatorship or in between. y arent ppl taking advantage of that???it doesnt make sence. Y CHOOSE TO LOSE UR FREEDOM. we have an oppurtunity y not use it. please give me ur thoughts!!! :fluffle: :sniper:  :(

OCC: Afew suggestions.
One: Read the stickys.
Two: Don't use smilies in your post. It makes you look noobish.
Three: You don't have to join the UN if you don't want to.

I join the UN because it's where I can have the best political debates without having to keep track of general *shivers*

I joined the UN because it's a place where you can have debates ranging from dolphins to gay marriage, without going off topic.

Another good suggestion to follow would be to use proper English spelling and grammar. If English isn't your first language, it's forgivable, but judging from your post, I'm guessing you can write proper English, you just choose not to. If you want to be taken seriously, please write seriously.

From an OOC standpoint, at first it just sounded like a very practical way to help secure my founderless (at the time) region. Then I started enjoying the debates and generally having fun writing legislation and roleplaying my nation in the context of an international governing body.

From an IC standpoint my nation feels that because of the significant impact the UN has on our world it would be irresponsible for us to not participate in improving this body to the best of our ability.
