I'm new here at NationStates, but this is the type of game I've been looking for. So bare with me. lol

O.K. I've got a new tax proposal, and I've read all the proposal rules, problem is, i don't have any endorsements to submit a proposal to the U.N. So i was wondering if anyone agreed on a world-wide tax on religion. I also believe that a small tax should fall on to the places of worship around here. So give me your oppinions people.

Thank You Much,

1) While I suppose churches aren't individual citizens, it could be argued that Resolution 4 (Taxation Ban) might hinder you. There's also an argument regarding Resolution 105 (National Systems of Tax) that I'm not quite sure I understand (though it might be that basically we can't legislate a tax within nations.....just UN wide taxes - some forms of which are dealt with Resolution 4).....

2) Absolutely oppose (as someone who is not religious and agnostic) any taxation directed at churches or earmarked for churches. I don't mind removing exemptions to churches - but that's another matter....

3) You get endorsed by your fellow UN nations in your region - just ask them.

4) Might want to make a draft here for discussion before submitting anything - that way we can just note things (even if we object, we can help you develope your arguments and close the blatant loopholes).
