Repeal of Dolphin Protection

I'm new at this Nation States thing so go easy on me! :)

At any rate, I noticed that there are two resolutions pending involving repeal of the "Dolphin Protection Act". One seems well written, the other not so much.

Couldn't we merge the two together?

Personally, I'd love to see this thing get repealed as it opened the floodgates for all manner of ridiculous "animal protection" acts. (What's next the freakin' spotted owl?)

Anyhow, my 2cents.

Greetings.

We are sympathetic to you, noting that cetaceans such as the killer whale are also technically dolphins. People think dolphins are 'cute', but we all know they are bloodthirsty and intelligent killers.

I think Killer wales are covered in another "protectionist" passed resolution specifically about whales. At any rate, one repeal at a time! :)

The dolphin protection act as it stands is also bad policy, because it requires that member nations treat their dolphin citizens as second-class members of society. (It stipulates, if you recall, that "no dolphin shall ever be preferred over human lives".)

We cannot even contemplate joining the UN as long as official policy includes such barbaric nonsense.

(OC: am I correct in my understanding that resolutions, once passed, cannot be amended, only repealed?)

I'm sure all of us have lived through or at least witnessed a destruction of Mother Nature. When will people (not directed toward anyone specifically) realize that the more harm we do to Mother Nature, the more she will retaliate. Nature is the strongest force on the face of the Earth as well as in any amount of Outer Space. Humans are mere peons when it comes to the strength, anger, and frusteration that has allowed us to even be part of the Earth. Comments like the one regarding spotted owls and other forms of life on Earth are exactly what make me ashamed to be human.

We think we're so high and mighty when, really, Mother Nature is hanging us up by a string ready to break at any second. If we don't do anything to clean up the environment and save the animals, we will flounder (no pun intended).

Looking recently at the way humans treat other species as well as each other makes me want to scream and to cry. Any thoughts?  :(

I don't know if you were being sarcastic or not, if you were then hahahaha, ok, I'll give you that one. If you were not displaying sarcasm, I have only this to say:

I have a fried whose life was literally saved by "bloodthirsty, intelligently killing" dolphins. They would sooner save a humans' life before one of their own kind. In fact, they are ruthless and bloodthirsty toward each other.
My friend was diving in the ocean and she all of a sudden noticed a ring of dolphins swimming around her (the "cute" gray ones). When she looked passed the dolphins there was a shark about to attack her. The dolphins beat the shark to it's death with their fins and saved her life.

Just something to think about... ;)

Seriously, can it (oops, that was an unfortunate choice of words ... cool it) with those nets. If you do, we may show some mercy on you when we take over the world.

Needless to say, we support this Resolution and will vigorously beak-butt anyone who votes to repeal it.
