Nuclear weapons are the technology of destruction as long as they are active. We should deactivate all nuclear weapons until war rises.

Is this supposed to be a resolution?

Because as we all know, the timeline for MAD is somewhere along the lines of a whole 6 minutes between first launch and first detonation - therefore we have no concerns of trying to reactivate the weapons, then launch them.

Or is there another actual logical reason to keep nuclear weapons?

I'm trying to figure out whether or not the real UN Charter is applicable for NS UN, and if it is, then Article 51, I would argue, is in your way.

I see no reason to deactivate our nuclear weapons. It's not like we keep them stored in supermarkets, so that they pose a danger to our people. Besides, what if a threat is imminent and happens suddenly?

The U.N. passes a no nuke policy but what about non U.N. nations.

now that impairs our armies form doin their job.

We cannot attack non-U.N. nations without concidering the threat of their nukes. when we had nukes no one would strike us with nukes because of fear of our WMDs

And thanks to me, you don't have to worry about that, unless my resolution (God forbid) gets repealed.

It isn't.

Greetings.

Perhaps the 'US against THEM' mentality is not necessarily applicable. We of Roathin do not see the vast hordes of non-NSUN states queueing up to take potshots at NSUN members. They have better things to do. Take a walk down to International Plaza for the latest news, and you will find they are busy blowing each other up with their 'million nukes' and more.

While we are on this point, note that we offer bulk discounts on Higgs-field anti-nuclear protection (also known as the 'prismatic sphere' and 'prismatic dome' defence systems). You will only have to support five of our field-golem automata for each implementation over a period of thirty (30) days. We are currently slightly over-extended in supplying said protection to our colleagues in the Integrated Universe region, but we will find time to respond to further requests.

The Armed Republic of Slovokastania expresses mirth at this pathetic attempt at a resolution. Our errant stenographer can write better than that with no left arm and spikes in his eyes (and believe us, we've tried).

I'm amazed how your stenographers all seem to have this common ability to insult people....

Hmm, yes, not to mention their tendency of getting themselves maimed and/or killed.

I can't make it a resolution. I have no endorsements.
