Is it possible?

To have a porposal which modifies a passed resolution?

If so, here's one:

Resolution #X: Establishing Uniform Standards On The Crime Of Pedophilia

RECOGNIZING that pedophilia is a crime against the youth of the world,

UNDERSTANDING with sincere regret that uniform standards on the crime are not in place,

LET IT BE RECOGNIZED that 'pre-pubescent' children are human beings under the age of 12, in the matter of determining the crime of pedophilia.

All other portions of the resolution so modified, Resolution #22, "Outlaw Pedophilia", will stand as is.

It's illegal under UN rules but, as the Humanitarian Intervention resolution demonstrated, it's also possible. I wouldn't advise it, though.

I think that if you remove the last line you might be legal, the proposal would then be simply defining pedophilia and not amending anything.

I see. I will forward it to my UN delegate.

I would advise getting a ruling from the mods before submitting as my interpertation of the rules could be wrong.

This would remove protection for non-human pre-pubescents.

As the sponsor of Resolution #22, I would believe that this proposal might be legal if the last line was stricken. However, I concur in the advice of the delegate from Flibbleites.

I would, however, oppose this proposal on for the reasons stated by the representative from _Myopia_. I would instead suggest the following operative clauses:

LET IT BE RECOGNIZED that human 'pre-pubescent' children, if human, are those under the age of 12,

PROVIDED that this resolution sets no definition of pre-pubescence for non-humans.
