The use of biological weapons such as Mustard Gas, Anthrax, Ricin, Cholera, and Smallpox to name a few, should be banned. These weapons cause permanent bodily disfigurement and permanent health problems if not death.

I propose that all biological weapons development in all U.N. nations cease immediately, if this Resolution passes, failure to comply with this provision will result in your immediate expulsion from the U.N.

Any Nations currently producing biological weapons must cease weapons production immediately, failure to comply with this provision will result in your immediate expulsion from the U.N.


Any nations currently stockpiling biological weapons will have to cease stockpiling immediately and destroy/dismantle their current stockpiles by 2010, if all weapons have not been destroyed/dismantled by 2010, failure to comply with this provision will result in your immediate expulsion from the U.N.


Any nations currently trading biological with any other nations within the U.N. or not must cease trading with other nations by 2007, failure to comply with this provision will result in your immediate expulsion from the U.N.

Any nations currently using biological weapons on their own people or in other nations must cease utilizing their weapons by 2006, failure to comply with this provision will result in your immediate expulsion from the U.N.

Drop the section about expulsion - it is impossible to expel UN members for anything less than game rule violations. I would also suggest removing the references to dates - they can screw up role-play, plus UN resolutions are effective immediately - they can't be brought in piece by piece.

Also, remove the reference to your nation - that is called branding, and is expressly forbidden in the proposal rules.

Other than those, you'll face serious problems getting this through. National sovereigntists (is that a word?) won't like it. Militaristic nations won't like it. Anyone who realises that the UN is outnumbered (at least) 2 to 1 won't like it. But if you are determined, then go right ahead.

Mustard Gas is a chemical weapon. Or, at least, that's how it's been classified.

Um, I'm currently at, timeline-wise, 2705. At least, compared to the real world I am. NS-wise, I'm in the current era, despite my technology level. So this is kinda an issue for me, considering that date will never come for me.

We'll just be one step annoying and state we read "2010" as the 10th day of the 20th month.

As no year has 20 months, this particular period will never come to exist. Nor with "2007", the 7th day of the 20th month.

We appreciate this null period as it does absolutely insure this resolution never comes into effect.

Well, when doing so, you have to pretty much come up with a new way of infecting people with it, given that cholera can be stopped by boiling/filtering/otherwise treating the water... but that shouldn't be too much of a hassle...
