I am porposing that we ban guns compleatly except in the army

Every year gun crime rises. In the U.S.A over 10,000 die a year trough gun crime all because everyone can have a gun yet the second highest country for gun death is 300 in a country a similer size. There guns are illegal i belive that by banning guns we can bring a better future for or children we have to ban guns in the U.N.
I think this way only can we better the future please people back the gun ban proposel i apeal to all delecates to see sence and are people will live in a crime free paradise

Especially since there's usually at least two or three "ban guns" proposals in the list at any given time.

Great. Another one of these. I'm going to assume what you posted is the exact text until I see said exact text.

Okay, ignoring the grammar issues, the problem is that you are citing a real-world issue, which is illegal by UN rules.

Also, your information is wrong. The U.S. has so many gun deaths because of its attitude, not its gun laws. If you lay a gun on a table, it's not going to magically get up, walk across the room, and shoot you in the back of the head. It's just going to lay there until something or someone moves it.

Try looking up nations that require their citizens to own guns and compare gun deatg rates to the U.S. Then, try comparing general attitude.

I think this way only can we better the future please people back the gun ban proposel i apeal to all delecates to see sence and are people will live in a crime free paradise

You outlaw guns, the outlaws make a killing off gun sales. Plus, they can shoot your police without fear of reprisal. What you are suggesting doesn't create the utopia you envision.

Greetings.

We of Roathin note that if the police are better armed than the criminal element, and are ruthless about dealing with armed criminals, the thrill of owning weapons is much reduced. The fact is that criminals (or even innocent civilians) with firearms are far more likely to inflict collateral damage - training notwithstanding - than not.

We have this problem with the thaumaturgic and psionic arts. It is largely controlled by the fact that possession of specific classes of lethal talent or implements voids our restriction on the death penalty. It is the equivalent of saying felony + firearms = death. It is also aided by the fact that unless those who possess certain of these classes of talent or implements are also members of the official militia and subject to hierarchical command, they are outlaws with a price on their head. A large price.

Note that arguments about mythical united kingdoms, states or any other political entities will always expand to take in sociocultural dynamics. We point out that individualism will always be opposed to law, despite utopian ideals to the contrary. It is the old 'why should anyone else have the right to tell me what to do' idea. Perhaps it should be dealt with by the 'only public servants have serious weapons' idea. Or not.

Guns is a very effective way to keep americans from spreading troughout the worls by removing alot of their youth.

I say we encourrage children to buy and use guns and also have a subject in all schools about gun use, aiming etc.

First of all this is the NSUN, not the RL un.
And about the American comment: you jackass. I won't bother responding anymore except to insult you. Thank God I left the UN when I did.

We like. This is part of why we are investigating the alternate laws of physics that result from the nonuniform nature of the universe, which allow for more uses of waveform physics in daily life. So far, we've had encouraging results with implanting necrotic cysts in criminals, at which point police can, with the right use of words, cause the cysts to expand in a manner that is usually quite lethal, if bloody. Luckily, we are not fully exploiting the laws of physics that allowed us to develop that, or the results would be a massive undead necrotic cyst that would promptly go on a rampage.

OOC: Still doesn't stop me from including the U.S. in my history.

If you wish to argue like that, go to the General forum. This is not the place.

Make a proposal about it.
