Resolution: "Freedom from being murdered" shall be officially recognized as a "basic human right".

Rationale:
1. "Basic human rights" are not precisely defined under Resolution #26, and
2. this resolution is necessary to ensure that murder is prohibited by all member-states.

Resolution: "Freedom from being murdered" shall be officially recognized as a "basic human right" under Resolution 26. Illegal, you cannot amend passed resolutions.
Rationale:

1. Whereas "basic human rights" are not precisely defined under Resolution #26, andThey seem precise enough to me.
2. whereas the vocal minority of member-nations are run by subliterate legalistic 13-year old boys,Great start flaming, that will really get you support.
3. this resolution is necessary to ensure that murder is prohibited by all member-states.Since you're attempting to amend a resolution this idea will never make it past the mods.

Resolution: "Freedom from being murdered" shall be officially recognized as a "basic human right" under Resolution 26.

Illegal. Amendments are not allowed by UN rules.

Rationale:

1. Whereas "basic human rights" are not precisely defined under Resolution #26, and

Don't like it, try to get it repealed and watch that get shot down.

2. whereas the vocal minority of member-nations are run by subliterate legalistic 13-year old boys,

Flamebaiting is not a way to get people to support your proposal. If anything, it only makes you look worse than you already do by not reading the rules.

3. this resolution is necessary to ensure that murder is prohibited by all member-states.

You do realize that murder is only murder if it is illegal, right?

This does not amend a previous resolution. It clarifies it.

Brians Test will take its chances, thank you.
Wrong, it amends it. If you don't believe us, ask the mods, see what they say.

This does not amend or change Resolution #26. Resolution #26 protects basic human rights, among which is the right to not die by murder.

This specifically amends it by adding a protection not in the original resolution. Do we need to send your nation a dictionary with the word highlighted?

As for refering to the leaders of some short-sighted regimes as subliterate legalistic 13 year olds, the people of Brians Test are fully prepared to deal with the diplomatic fallout of that assertion.

Potential diplomatic fallout can include massive amounts of viral agents, chemical weapons, nuclear weapons, and dead citizens. The first three sent your way, the last being what you have left. Not all of the nations in the UN are forgiving, and even those that are have limited patience that you are quickly wearing thin.
