Our answer to U.N. "Save the Dolphins!": SAVE KENNY!!!!

O.K., so this dolphins proposal started because some nation has the dolphin as its national animal, and now it wants the entire world to protect it from harm. Our national animal is Kenny, and he has been subject to more gruesome deaths than any other species; he's been shot, stabbed, strangled, suffocated and bludgeoned, electrocuted, trampled by cattle, incinerated in a microwave, pecked by mutant turkeys, hit by a train, torn apart; his heart's been replaced with a baked potato; he's even succombed to chicken pox and looking at the lighted ceiling in the Plane'arium. But if we were to propose a resolution to save Kenny, it would be deleted and we may even be ejected from the U.N.

Someone please enlighten us as to why this dolphin proposal shouldn't be treated any differently.

It shouldn't. Most people that vote on U.N. resolutions just read the titles, so resolutions with their hearts in the right place automatically go through, no matter how worthless or costly.

Greetings.

We are suddenly enlightened. Our knowledge of anatomical studies should have prepared us for this revelation. The heart is indeed more powerful than the brain. We shall have to advise our enchanters accordingly.

I completely agree. Like I said in the dolphin proposal. This is worthless, and counterproductive to UN nations that have dolphin on the menu. If that resolution passes, I am going to consider one that makes illegal the killing and eating of my national animal, the wolf. The wolves of the universe are oft maligned, hunted, maimed, and served on your dinner tables, fast food restaurants, and in the religious rites of your nations. THe animal should be revered for its loving nature, curious intellect, and all around good points.

Greetings.

Being an admirer of the wolf ourself, we would like to elaborate on some of those good points. Wolves have great esprit d'corps, strategic ability, self sufficiency as individuals, healthy sense of self-preservation, ecological sensitivity, and ability to sustain long-term relationships. Singly or in packs, they are to be feared and admired.

We would support a proposal calling for their establishment as a universal role-model.

Our Majesty Great Philosopher PIAFVS would like to show their opinion on this subject: We all must agree to save dolphins, AND all others forms of life on Earth. For example my pet animal is HIV and it is brutaly slaughtered in almost every country in the world. Even worse, some countries tend to call HIV not an animal, but a virus! I say, HIV is the most intelligent animal in the world today and should be respected and protected from any further human disturbance!

Bahgum would like to propose a kenny exchange programme, zoo's of the world have a moral obligation to breed captive kenny's in order to help safeguard the species.

In the meantime we urge the world to use kenny friendly nets, protect kenny friendly environments and to look into the establishment of a kenny tagging programme (obviously to be tagged by a non distressing, chased by a helicopter and shot at medium range with a 6 inch feathered dart kindly scientific method) so that we can fully assess the needs of the kenny's of this world.

As my foreign minister just pointed out, why whould another nation care about something that has no affect on them or their ideals?

For instance; if my ideals is for a better global environment. Then you would care about the issue.
Or; if my ideals don't care about the environment. Then you obviously wouldn't care about it.

I'm going to write a proposal called "Put a Stop to Whaling," and in an obscure clause within the bill, require that all newborns be killed the moment they leave their mother, effectually bringing the death of mankind. Or at least mankind within the UN.

I think I'd support that. I'd support it even more if you didn't bother with the bit about whaling.

In that case, don't lynch. We need experimental subjects. After all, our attempts to understand the laws of physics in the stranger parts of the universe do require observation of those laws, and we have a hard time finding the Lesahnro.

Easy topic. Why should the save the dolphins resolution be treated differently from a "Save Kenny" resolution? Because Kenny is capable of reincarnation. And the U.N. doesn't want to go up against "they"...

Seriously, though, methinks this particular thread should be mod-locked shortly...

You should approve "Irradicate Arctocephalinae"; it may not kill all the dolphins, but it does kill all fur seals...
