You might want to actually post a copy on the forums so that more people can see it.
Category: The Furtherment of Democracy
Strength: Strong
Proposed by: Aremell
Description: Seeing that the United Nations has no real power over its states and that it is a voluntery organization, the people of the Holy Republic of Aremell proposes that states in the United Nations be able to null or void any and/or all laws/resolutions passed by the United Nations.
The belief behind this resolution is that a democracy is govern by its people, not some peoples thousands of miles away.
Thus when this resolution is passed, all states are free to null/void any laws/resolutions passed before and after this resolution.

Well, it's good if you are looking to get ejected for the UN from breaking multiple proposal rules, but apart from that ...

It's a major game mechanics violation...
Wow. I don't think that could be more illegal without directly insulting the moderators and stating questionable imprecations about Max's heritage.
i did read the rules for proposing, and i didnt think this was going to be a "major" change in game play. you could simplely make it an issue for nations, so a day when a resolution passes, an issue comes up and ask if you want to null/void the resolution in your country.
It may not seem like much, but it would require a major recoding of the entire structure of the game. What you are saying is that two more-or-less independent parts of the game - issues and the UN - be recoded so that they link together.
Max Barry made clear right from the start that UN resolutions were non-negotiable.
The UN is your chance to mold the rest of the world to your vision, by voting for resolutions you like and scuttling the rest. However, it's a double-edged sword, because your nation will also be affected by any resolutions that pass. (You can't just obey the resolutions you like and ignore the rest, like real nations do.)(bolding mine)
As such, this proposal is illegal.

i did read the rules for proposing,
This thread? Rules For UN Proposals [Now Binding] (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=420465)? How did you manage to miss this paragraph right near the top that EXPLICITY forbids exactly this sort of thing?Optionality
UN Proposals are not optional. Don't try to make one that is. Many 'Mild' Proposals will have phrases such as "RECOMMENDS" or "URGES", which is just fine. The opinionality ban refers to when language such as "Nations can ignore this Resolution if they want," which is right out.Just curious. It seems pretty clear to me.

UN porposal: Laws of Null
It also appears to be a crossbreed between a porpoise and a proposal. Imagine that on the UN floor :p .
[sorry, I just couldn't resist]
