Currently I'm not getting enough delegate votes to pass this proposal, I would be very grateful if you were to go over and vote for it!
Here it is, in full, please note there is a typo on the actualy proposal (3).

Description: Description: Fair Trade Act

AGAINST- The thousands of people dying, including young children, from starvation and illness because they do not have the money to buy food or medication for themselves.

RECOGNIZING- The unfairness that the third world countries have to live in, working probably more hours but earning much less money to survive on.

DETERMINING- Why this is happening and how to help them out of poverty, and getting them higher wages.

RESIGNED- To the fact that it will take a lot in the long run to beat this problem. to the fact that some member nations might just think this is another plead for more money.

DISGUSTED- At the fact that some member nations might just think this is another plead for more money and will do nothing towards this very needy cause.

VALUING- Member nations generosity and conscience who will obviously support this proposal, as any decent region should.

The Fair Trade Act-

1 ENCOURAGES member nations, and all nations in the world, adopt a fair trade system, to make sure every product imported has been made fairly, with enough money being given to the labourers.

2 EXHORTS- all regions to make sure that all products have been checked out by the system (specified in 1) before going on the market and make it a felony to supply unfair trade.

3 DECLARES- it the right for individuals making goods to demand enough pay, or as much as the UN specfies as a minimum wage.

That is to say, they DESERVE the right for enough pay to be able to comply with all 10 basic human rights. If this resolution is passed, in a matter of years, the entire of unfair trade would be wiped out.

Alright, ignoring all the boilerplate:

1 ENCOURAGES member nations, and all nations in the world, adopt a fair trade system, to make sure every product imported has been made fairly, with enough money being given to the labourers.

"You should really...."
If I don't want to, I don't have to. And UN Resolutions affect only UN nations, so "all nations in the world" makes this illegal.

2 EXHORTS- all regions to make sure that all products have been checked out by the system (specified in 1) before going on the market and make it a felony to supply unfair trade.

"Does it look fair?"
"Yep."
"Alright, export those sneakers you made for .0085 cents each."

3 DECLARES- it the right for individuals making goods to demand enough pay, or as much as the UN specfies as a minimum wage.

You can demand anything you like. You can demand my daughter's virginity if you like. Doesn't mean you're going to get it.

That is to say, they DESERVE the right for enough pay to be able to comply with all 10 basic human rights. If this resolution is passed, in a matter of years, the entire of unfair trade would be wiped out.

We see no mechanism to support this. Nor do we have a list of "ten basic human rights". The only human right we see as universal is "the right to die".

Perhaps in this case Tluafed was referring to the "Universal Bill of Rights" resolution. Or perhaps not. It's unlikely that he(?) actually read the list of passed resolutions and is familiar with the UBR. Almost nobody does.

Description: Description: Fair Trade Act

AGAINST- The thousands of people dying, including young children, from starvation and illness because they do not have the money to buy food or medication for themselves.

We must point out this appears to be a societal problem on your end. We do not have that problem. If our citizens don't wish to work to get food, they can always go to one of the many settlement Ages we have and try living there.

RECOGNIZING- The unfairness that the third world countries have to live in, working probably more hours but earning much less money to survive on.

Societal problems on their end, not ours.

DETERMINING- Why this is happening and how to help them out of poverty, and getting them higher wages.

This is happening because they have made and continue to make poor choices.

RESIGNED- To the fact that it will take a lot in the long run to beat this problem. to the fact that some member nations might just think this is another plead for more money.

This is another plead for more money, and the requirements to beat this problem are that the nations who have it do something about it. Charity is wasted on the man who will do nothing for himself.

If they wish, we can probably get the Council to agree to Write an Age for them to try their hands at living on. They'll have to work hard, but they should be able to undo many of their problems. If they are not willing to work hard, they'll die. Of course, we'll simply burn the Linking Book to their Age if that happens.

DISGUSTED- At the fact that some member nations might just think this is another plead for more money and will do nothing towards this very needy cause.

It is only a very needy cause because they made it so. The primary need is on their end to work hard to better themselves. If they are not going to work hard, we see no reason to help them.

VALUING- Member nations generosity and conscience who will obviously support this proposal, as any decent region should.

Our conscience tells us that we do more harm by helping than by not. By helping, we are potentially sending the message that them getting themselves into trouble is okay and that they'll simply be bailed out by the UN. This cannot be.

The Fair Trade Act-

1 ENCOURAGES member nations, and all nations in the world, adopt a fair trade system, to make sure every product imported has been made fairly, with enough money being given to the labourers.

Our laborers make everything we need. They're paid fairly.

2 EXHORTS- all regions to make sure that all products have been checked out by the system (specified in 1) before going on the market and make it a felony to supply unfair trade.

How can we unfairly trade with our own people?

3 DECLARES- it the right for individuals making goods to demand enough pay, or as much as the UN specfies as a minimum wage.

Minimum wage in which currency? Also, define why this is necessary. If a person makes no money, but instead is given foodstuffs and a home, as well as other minor comforts, in enough of an amount to allow them a comfortable life, what need do they have of currency? They can just ask for something and work off the value.

That is to say, they DESERVE the right for enough pay to be able to comply with all 10 basic human rights. If this resolution is passed, in a matter of years, the entire of unfair trade would be wiped out.

The only basic right is the right to die. All others are privilages. And, to be honest, I find this resolution has no actual strength in that it does not actually require anything and seeks to solve a problem through methods that don't actually deal with it.
