A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.

Description: There should be a resolution made to stop cutting down the rainforest. Anyone who does kill any animals in the rainforest or cut trees down should be arrested. We can't let the gem of this world go before we have fully discovered it. Please support this.

At this point, industry is more important than the rainforest. My advisors under me assure me that the quality of the earth will sustain for over five hundred more years. Many workers' jobs derive from products obtained from the rainforest. Thus to cut the rainforest down would cause an instability in many third world countries ,such as my own, that thrive from Soil Sample Research. Industry provides many jobs and much profit to countries that, otherwise, could not sustain life without backing from industry. I disapprove of this proposal and vote against it.

So... save the rainforests in your own nation. It's not like your nation is benefitting from work in other nations, unless there's something you'd like to tell us.

One of the nifty things about NationStates is that, as far as I can tell, Nations do not share environments. Therefore, while I am in the top 1 percentile of cleanest environments, a nation next to me can burn 7,000 tons of fossil fuels a day, cut down all of its trees and feed them directly into a carbon monoxide machine - and still not affect my own ratings (Not that I would ever let such a nation into my thrifty little pocket dimension). Pojonias rainforests are amongst the most lush and verdant in the galaxy, and therefore we don't need this proposal.

I do really like environmental legislature, though. My advice is to think bigger, and maybe you'll have something.

Nargopia's Environmental budget is... wait, let's see... oh, that's right: 0%. Sorry, but we won't be supporting this.

We already have about forty poorly worded environmental resolutions, thanks.
