Are we doing more repealings in the UN that we are making new resolutions?

Because many of the old resolutions are poorly worded, and need repealing. :sniper:

This should be in the UN area.

A lot of the resolutions are poorly worded.

A lot of the resolutions are contentious issues that invoke passions to either keep them or get rid of them. Abortion, scientist freedom and sex industry worker act come to mind.

Coming up with an original, relevant proposal that is going to get support is pretty hard. You're starting with nothing but an idea...

Repealing is much easier because there's already something to work with.

Reposting this from another thread.Well yes but we've only just joined and were wondering about the effectiveness of this frankly Kafkaesque body if it intends to spend its time undoing what it did before.
Anyone who thinks lawmakers shouldn't spend time disassembling laws and removing outdated material is defaulting to a "big government, never wrong" position. We find nothing surreally distorted about the concept of limiting government. We're entirely in favor of the repeals process, and have a much stronger process for ourselves.

The Frisbeeterian legistative bodies are bicameral. The Legislative Council deliberates new law, which must pass by a two-thirds majority; and the Sunset Commission studies existing law, which can be expunged by a mere 40% vote in favor. Less law is better law in Frisbeeteria, and we're delighted to see the UN working in the same fashion. We'd even consider rejoining if a half-dozen of the most restrictive resolutions were repealed.

Would've been nice if the UN could deal with repeals and new proposals at the same time, IMO.
