The disabled should have rights too.

Currently the UN does not specifically enschrine the rights of the disabled to work or even exist. Extreme governments are more than willing to 'purify' their national race through extermination and sterilising. It's a disgusting situation and if we are to overcome the Nazis who plague this site with their discriminatory views, we must stand up against them, united under one banner whether you're a Liberal, a Conservative or a Socialist, please support the 'Protection of Disabled Persons' UN proposal.
Thank you

Did you know that M.O.S.S. (http://img112.echo.cx/img112/9274/mossproposal8ky.jpg) always grows on the north side of a tree?

Err, wouldn't that be covered already under the numerous anti-discrimination things, the Eon Resolution on Genocide, and the Universal Bill of Rights?

I - and many others, I am sure - would be very grateful if the Imperial Great Britain delegate would be so kind as to post their proposal here, in order that we may be able to analyse it thoroughly.
I am curious to see if this proposal has anything positive to add to existing legislation.

OOC: please, enough of this M.O.S.S. nonsense.
It's not nonsense - It's a playing card. (http://img112.echo.cx/img112/9274/mossproposal8ky.jpg)

The People's Republic of Bendzy would also welcome more information on this proposal. We, as a people, are keen to close any loopholes that may allow for the exploitation of people with disabilities.
We look forward to seing a draft proposal with interest.

If a nation would like to submit a proposal to the UN, they must also submit the proposal to the UN forum, as delegates do not have the time to survey 15 pages of slow-loading proposals, most of which are not worthy of UN consideration.

As IGB doesn't seem to be checking back on his/her thread, I'll put a copy of the proposal here.
Category: Human Rights
Strength: Significant
Proposed by: Imperial Great Britain
Description: Description: The 'Protection of Disabled Persons' will outlaw disability discrimination throughout the world as stated in the following clauses.
1) No state may pass legislation that seriously undermines the human rights of the disabled, this may include but is not limited to banning disabled persons from working, sterilising disabled persons and any other legislation that to a great extent, is incompatible with their human rights.
2)No State, public organisation nor private company or establishment may have a clear anti-disabled persons employment policy, this however does not neccesitate the introduction of quotas.
3) Every disabled person should have the right to life and that right should be entrenched to prevent any state or person from removing the disabled person's right to life.
It seems to me as though that's already covered by other resolutions. Of course, I might have missed something...
