Well! In that case, I am forced to bestow upon this thread a DLEBR of 1.5!

*much weeping and gnashing of teeth*
IIRC, she told us this would happen. It doesn't make it easier, but still.

And, mysteriously, the thread rises from its grave and breathed again, opening its eyes.
I was in Iraq, doing consulting work in the area of advertising. Now, I'm back.

That just scares me on so many levels... particularly the "advertising" part. They just got democracy, now competant advertising? Whats next, Smurfs?

Actually, they had advertising before they even attempted a stable government. Advertising was the first of the Seven American Curses.

Well, it's good to see you back.
Maybe that proposal for sentient/sapient/whatever rights could be resurrected, since you were quite a large part of the driving force in those discussions if I remember correctly.

Wow, you're back!
We had a funeral for you while you were gone. It was very touching.

I even sang. Thanks for toying with our emotions.

I'm eagerly awaiting a "The reports of my death were highly exaggerated." statement from DLE. :)

Shouldn't this be in General?

Technically, the reports of death are accurate. The Old DLE nation is truly dead. I merely restarted and used the Myst series as the basis this time around. That's why I talk a lot about Yisha (Yeesha), D'ni, Writing, Ages, Linking Books, etc. However, I'm still the ass I always was.
Edit: Considering it wasn't moved, I would say it belongs here. The reason has to do with the fact that it deals with something that does affect the UN, specifically actions taken and how proposals and resolutions are argued about.

No, it doesn't belong here. It was tolerated as a memorial to a UN forum regular, but since that is no longer the case, time to put a cork in it.
