The 'Repeal "Hydrogen Powered Vehicles"' proposal is submitted for a second time and up for approval. (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/page=UN_proposal1/match=hydrogen)

If you are a UN delegate, please consider approving it - I hope you'll agree with the proposal.

If you aren't a UN delegate, and your delegate hasn't approved it, please read the approval and badger your delegate to approve it!

If you aren't a UN delegate, and your delegate has approved it, then buy him a drink on my behalf.

If you don't have a UN delegate, why are you in this forum?

A very well written, and very professional proposal.
Approved!

I should point out that it was mainly based on a similarly-styled proposal from a few weeks ago, just with the clauses edited to match the Resolution 18.

Thanks for the support!

It Appears you may have succeeded where many before you have failed. You have the support of the Venerable Libertarians and the Realm of Hibernia. furthermore i suggest everyone get behind this, if even to ensure we never have to read another repeal of this ever ever ever again.

Nice Work Claverton.

OOC. I Hope you have Telegrammed delegates Looking for support for this. This is Vital if you wish it to reach Quorum. For the UNWODC i had to telegram 1000 Delegates, and it barely made the cut!

I'll mull over this- it's a well-written proposal but I'm not sure if I'm ready to discard "Hydrogen Powered Vehicles" yet.

The proposal has just passed the half-way mark for the quorum. Please approve it, all you delegates. There is a link in my sig, and in your TG box if your region name begins with A-F.

Hmm. I don't know exactly how many delegates I have TG'd today. But I'm just reaching Page 300 of the Region List, and I've TG'd everyone who was a regional delegate from 000000 to Gateville.

You might want to try the delegates list omn the main UN page next time. On the proposal currently being voted on there's a link called "delegates votes" it lists all the delegates that have voted on that proposal up for vote. It eliminates all the inactive delegates out there, and gives you only those interested in proposal or resolutions. I'm not sure I'd recommend it now (you might telegram dlegates twice, which only angers them). But, if you have to resumit, I'd just use the list of delegates that supported it this time, and supplement that with the "delegate votes" list.

I do think it's a well-written repeal, and I really hope your large time investment (300 pages?!? Wow!) pays off.

Good Luck!

I tried to TG every Delegate in the NS World once when I was campaigning for "Right to Self-Protection". I stopped after the B's and started telegramming all the Delegates of regions over 25 nations in size. That was much faster. :D

Thanks for the advice. I'll make use of it when lobbying for the second submission...

I use the method where you go to a proposal at quorum, then "List Delegate Votes" then go through that lot by right clicking and clicking on "open in new window."
Very quick, shame about the spam stopping thing!

Now what does "Recalling" mean?

"Recall" has to do with memory. < link >

I wish I'd seen this a hair earlier... looks like I missed the deadline.

No, I've submitted it again, so you can still approve it!

Consider it done. I would agree, the proposal is both well written and thought out. The only thing it might possibly need is a link to the referrenced proposals that play the same roll. If they are already there, I guess it's time to actually grab my glasses. :p
